I thought the name of the actual restaurant was "Asian vegan" but on the building it says "Thai Topaz" was a little confused..anyway I tried the lemon grass tofu on the vegan menu and it was phenomenal! I thought it was really tasty and some oolong tea. The tables were so pretty setup with a white table cloth, a rose and candle such a great ambiance. Service was great and attentive and friendly.

The food was tasty and hot. I ordered pick up, so I can only speak about the to-go process. I would recommend.

Always delicious. Very clean, vegan food. The family that runs this place is so sweet and friendly. The new website really elevates the product and the service is still warm and thoughtful. This restaurant was previously known as "Thai Vegan."

2nd time ordering here. 1st time was not good... I got curry and spring rolls... decided to give another chance due to all the positive reviews. I ordered massaman curry with tofu this time- tastes like freezer burn... Sorry I hate to be negative... I love Thai food but not having any luck here... Hard to find good fresh tasting vegan food ? I miss Thai Vegan that used to be on huebner but they closed end of last year ?Vegetarian options: Not very good

Asian vegan is located inside of another Thai restaurant by another name called Thai topaz. Does their website mention this? No. Does the text messaging service they subscribe to for updates on your order tell you this? No. I've been driving around trying to call them for over 15 minutes. No one answers the phone. There's not even a sign on your restaurant that says it Asian vegan. Only the sign for Thai topaz. Stop wasting people's time! Get your business in order.

I haven't been here in over six years since moving out of the area and I was so impressed! Me and my husband used to get delivery from here often and I'd make modifications for my food to be vegan which they always seemed happy to do. But recently I visited with my friends and we had dinner here and I was shocked to discover they now have an entire vegan menu!!?? Amazing! This food was so so good! They had these vegan cream cheese rolls and a 100% vegan pad Thai that was so tasty! I wish I still lived in the area so I could get delivery and enjoy their food but for now I'll just have to make the trip back when I can.

**Asian Vegan (within Thai Topaz) – San Antonio, TX**⭐⭐⭐⭐My experience at "Asian Vegan" was a mix of surprises and delights. Upon arrival, there is a little moment of confusion as the restaurant is inside "Thai Topaz". Despite not seeing a specific "Asian Vegan" advertisement, once inside everything is made clearer with separate menus for each space.Let's start with what I enjoyed: the vegan cream cheese wontons are hands down a revelation and possibly the best I've ever had. The broccoli "wings" in serrano chili sauce were an innovative and tasty surprise. They are abundant, succulent and reflect creativity in the kitchen, WOW the Pineapple Fried Rice is pure perfection! Now, not everything was perfect. The Pad Thai, while tasty, suffered from overcooked batter and was a bit runny. The spring rolls, while delicious, seemed to have been made ahead of time which was reflected in the dry cut areas and the Curry was undersalted. One thing that could really improve is communication about schedules. We were not informed that they would be closing soon, which led to our meal being a bit rushed, with no chance to try dessert or fully enjoy each course.Despite these minor setbacks, "Asian Vegan" is a place worth visiting in San Antonio, especially if you're looking for a vegetarian or vegan option. It is a unique experience and with a little patience and time, one can discover many innovative flavors and dishes.

Some of the best Thai food in San Antonio. It’s always great to see a place offering vegan options. I love the vegan cheese rangoons and spring rolls. The general Tao’s tofu was delicious. Only recommendation is that they add more noodle options.

Great vegan menu! The peanut sauce for the spring rolls wasn’t the creamy kind, so be warned, if that’s what you’re wanting.
