Bad customer service, idk what’s the policy in charging other tables then taking my order. Didn’t get no menu, lady was disrespectful, lovely place but wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend the place.

This place NEVER disappoints! Great food, fast service, excellent customer service. Definitely a staple in our weekly diet, lol.
The baby lobster and the too much love are a go to. The beef fried rice is also a must.

This restaurant has a large menu with a variety of items to choose from.
My husband and I recently dined at Avocado California Roll and Sushi, a cozy spot in Cedar Hill, Texas, that's been on my radar for its affordable Japanese fare. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual sushi night out, but with some hits and misses that might sway your decision.
Starting with the positives: the sashimi is decent quality for the price, coming in portions with a decent thickness to each piece, making it feel substantial without being overly chewy. Freshness was on point; no off-putting fishiness here.
On the sushi side, it's a mixed bag. The rolls have very thin pieces of fish—basically see-through—which makes them feel skimpy and less satisfying, though the flavors still come through somewhat. We tried a number of variants, both of which were okay but could use more substance.
Unfortunately, not everything shone. The spicy edamame was truly awful—a complete letdown. They douse it in what seems like an entire bottle of Sriracha sauce, turning the pods into a soggy, overly saucy mess that's more unappetizing slop than appetizer. It lacked any nuance or balance; skip this one at all costs.
Service, however, was a bright spot. Our server was attentive, quick with refills, and knowledgeable about the menu, making the experience smooth despite the food hiccups.
In the end, I'd give Avocado California Roll and Sushi a 3 out of 5. It's worth a visit if you're craving straightforward sushi without frills, but steer clear of that edamame and temper expectations on the rolls. With a few tweaks, it could be even better!

I have been going to this restaurant for a while now, so it saddens me to leave this review and to retract my services from them, as there are not many sushi or ramen places in the Dallas South area. However, I’d much rather travel further for better service than to continue giving this establishment my business. The food is always good for where it is, of course, there is always better sushi and ramen, but this place is great for the price! The food is not ever the issue.
Recently, there must’ve been a change in management. I dine in here often, and I often dine in other places of higher caliber where they make you aware of their customs ahead of time. When I go here to eat, there’s never an issue, until now. My boyfriend and I came here to eat like we usually do, and our waitress seemed finicky — like she was withholding something — our entire service. At the end of the service, we asked for the bill and to go plates, she hands it to us and stands there like she’s waiting for something. Typically, you have time to pack your stuff and insert you card in the pocketbook, and they’ll come back for it. She took the book as we were packing, and when she came back, she told my boyfriend we needed to pay at the counter to do tap. He was confused, but obliged. When he came back, he told me that the waitress demanded a tip from him as that was now the restaurant’s new standard, and that if you order online, that’s not necessary. My problem is not leaving a tip, as we typically tip anyway, especially for good service. My problem was how it was never disclosed, and sneakily done. When we go out to eat, I typically plan ahead of time based on the restaurant, most restaurants will disclose if they apply gratuity for large groups and things of that nature, so to not spend extra money, we add it to the cabana app and pay through the cash app card. Since we come here so often, we have the same order each time, so we knew how much to add each time.
To force someone to add a tip, especially for mediocre service with odd behavior, is beyond my understanding. Especially undisclosed. We were then told we needed to call someone — family or a friend — to provide the tip. I laughed and I walked out of there, no tip given.
What’s even worse is, my sister works in the area, eats here almost daily, and is never forced to give a tip. No manager was around enforcing this, no other coworkers, just the one server. It seemed very sketchy and odd. Thankfully I will not be returning.
Here’s a TIP. As a business owner: when you have major changes to a restaurant, you should disclose them to your customers. Post a sign, post it to the website, go the extra mile if you are going to force customers to tip, and make sure you make ALL customers tip, and not just US.
Thank you! Good luck.

Service was a little slow, food was good but the ice tea smelled moldy. Hard to judge the atmosphere because a disrespectful mother allowed her toddler to run loose throughout the restaurant screaming while just sat there. Probably very nice otherwise.

This was our first visit. Emilio our waiter was really attentive. The soft christian music gave the place a peaceful atmosphere & THE FOOD WAS THE BEST!! I got the crunch rolls and my husband the shrimp ramen ?.??? We stayed in a hotel close by visiting from Arkansas. This will definitely be in our stop list when visiting Dallas. The business name is different in google its Moons Ramen & sushi
Great value.
