This was our first visit. Emilio our waiter was really attentive. The soft christian music gave the place a peaceful atmosphere & THE FOOD WAS THE BEST!! I got the crunch rolls and my husband the shrimp ramen ?.??? We stayed in a hotel close by visiting from Arkansas. This will definitely be in our stop list when visiting Dallas. The business name is different in google its Moons Ramen & sushi

Stopped by for dinner on August 23, 2023. Ordered two rolls which were passable at best. halfway through eating our sushi we found live insects crawling around our sushi plate so we quickly flagged down a server, she apologized for the insects and offered to replace our rolls but by this point we were too disgusted to keep eating there. The waitress than grabbed our plates and threw away our food and brought our bill. They charged us for both rolls, yes including the one with bugs! Afterwards we arrived home with terrible stomach aches from the awful sushi we consumed at this establishment. Please if you’re in the mood for good sushi do yourself a favor and stay far away from here, the quality and cleanliness of this establishment overall are severely lacking!

This was absolutely the worst sushi I have eaten. The staff was clueless about Japanese ingredients. They really should shut down when the staff doesn't know what ponzu sauce is for a tempura dish. Sad!!

Got salmon sushi, asked for the spicy sauce that comes usually on spicy tuna, also got beef bulgolgi bowl. Was better than average.
Take note that you can ask for complimentary miso soup and also sake (do read terms and conditions, which are in the menu itself)

Update.....The service has gone down here. Especially if you order food through a food app. The owner made a mistake on my order and refused to correct it saying it was busy and he didn't read the instructions on my order fully. Knowing the mistake was his fault, he didn't try to rectify it in any way. Thankfully, I contacted the company in which I ordered through. The food is the same but if you're placing an order don't do it through a food app. Just call in or order in person.
Love this place, prices for portions are very fair for what you get. Love there seaweed salad and spicy tuna rolls. Been going here for a few years. Would recommend as a good local sushi spot.

12/4/2022 - Again, the food is GREAT! (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). The customer service is awful. I stood at the register waiting to place a takeout order. A black female employee acknowledged me and said "hold on." I did. In the meantime she got on her cell phone and never did take my order when clearly seeing me standing there waiting. The Asian male chef rounded the corner where the register was sitting on the counter & I was standing but did not acknowledge or offer me any assistance. After this time I turned and walked off to leave. The same Asian male called after me with "Sir?" I ignored him just as they had ignored me. This is unfortunate as I really enjoy the food. The place had 2 other customers so not busy at all. Either their priorities are out of kilter or they lack the business acumen to realize the success of their restaurant is predicated on customers. Do better, Avocado. Train your staff in good customer service. Start them off with a field trip to Chick-fil-A to see how it's done. Geez ?
