Asked for the Ceasars salad, it came.wirh italian dressing? The fries were luke warm, like they had been sitting out. The chicken fried steak was good. I normally only eat breakfast here, breakfast is fantastic, this is the first time I have had lunch, will need to really thing about it, before I do lunch again.

Extremely disappointed with the service and hygiene here. From the start, our server was rushing us, constantly interrupting and not even letting us finish our sentences.
The experience went from bad to worse when my sister found a hair in her food. While the staff acknowledged the mistake and took the plate back to the kitchen to replace it, the replacement never arrived. We waited, but the server completely ignored the issue and never brought the new dish out.
We ended up paying the bill (minus a tip) just so we could leave. Between the lack of basic cleanliness and the dismissive service, we won't be returning
First time here, and loved it. I will most definitely re visit when I come back in town

Dick’s Uptown Café is a well-oiled breakfast machine. Parking is conveniently located right outside the entrance, which is a huge plus. It’s often packed, but the staff clearly has the flow down—the wait is always reasonable and moves quickly. Inside is a good-ol southern kitchen style. Seating options include both indoor and outdoor tables. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. The food is consistently fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The omelets are absolutely to die for, portions are larger than average, and prices are very reasonable. It’s one of my go-to spots for breakfast or brunch. Must try.

Delicious food - excellent portions, and an overall GREAT experience. Be prepared for a wait on weekends, but it moves pretty quickly. The Corn Beef Hash is exquisite!

When you walk in there’s a sign that says to wait to be seated. We were added to a list. After a while of waiting, another customer with a party of three walked in and just sat down at a table and were immediately served. When asked about what happened, the employee said it was because her manager said that was fine.

I stopped on my way to Waxahachie based on reviews. The food was ok. The place was a little busy and not a lot of space. It was also extremely dirty with old crusts/stains around the cash register area, table center stands, salt/pepper shakers, sugar envelopes, etc. boxes were even stored by eating area. Made me wonder about their kitchen area.
Definitely NOT going back based on cleanliness.

Food tasted mediocre. I had the avocado toast, which left me with a sour stomach for several hours. My husband had a spinach omelet with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were undercooked- and looked that way on other patron's plates. He is now sick this evening with terrible indigestion and has been stuck to the porcelain throne. The set up for the room also made it hard to hear. Service was quick I suppose. I wish we had gone to wafflehouse.

I've only had the breakfast items, and evertime it's been delicious. Expect to wait because the place is small but highly recommend you try it.

I was extremely hungry earlier today and decided to try this café after driving past it several times and thinking it looked like a good place to eat. I was seated, and the waitress asked if it would just be me. I said yes—and after that, I was completely ignored.
Another customer arrived around the same time and was immediately helped. Shortly after, a family came in and they were also attended to right away. After 10–15 minutes, everyone around me had been taken care of except me. No greeting, no order taken, nothing.
I eventually got up and left. The service was genuinely terrible. It felt as though because I was dining alone, I wasn’t worth their time or money

This was my first time at this location. It was very cozy. Reminded me of home. The service was great. From the time we sat down the waitress was very attentive and our food came out and boy do they serve you enough food? I had the spinach omelette and the hash browns with the English muffin and everything was good. I would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Dallas. I didn't get to take any pictures because I had just flew in and I was hungry.
