We loved the Tex-Mex menu that incorporated the best flavors of each culture. I got the quesabirria and it was SO. MUCH. FLAVOR. It was so cool to see that they have different events going on throughout the month. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem ?

Had a taste for bbq. Ran across this place and couldn’t turn down Mexican AND BBQ… I’m a Texas girl… so I had to stop by. Daughter and I had the birrira tacos, son had the smash burger, hubby, pulled pork tacos. All was good. We ordered to-go, and the wait wasn’t too long. The consumé wasn’t the best….maybe because of the small container, but it wasn’t bad. Definitely will go back to dine in. Love supporting small businesses.

Salsa was awful chips were also nasty food was way over priced Mac and cheese was not cheesy nor was the pasta cooked it was almost crunchy just way over priced for low quality food. Potato salad was huge chunks of potato with mustard!?!? Brisket was tender but would not return. If you are from Austin you might like it.

All the meats were absolutely delicious and the 2 taco plate is a great deal. Only lose a star for the sides that were just passable. Very low-key spot attached to a small craft brewery in a quiet neighborhood. Ordered from the bar and the nice lady brought out the food quickly to our table outside (brought the dog). We'll be back again when hiking at Cedar Hill State Park!

I found this place on tt and everything looked absolutely delicious. I read it was a bbq spot with a Mexican twist inside of a brewery so everything sounded heavenly.The brewery and bbq place are together but separate, it’s a bit strange but whatever. We got the quesabirria tacos 7/10, the brisket tacos 6/10 and the ground brisket burger 9/10. For sides we got the mac n cheese 5/10 elote 9/10 and frijoles charros 5/10 . :(The meats were good and tender but the “Mexican twist” was not there! I would say it was tex-mex if anything. The flavors weren’t very strong and we got the smallest amount of sauce on anything that came with a sauce.I think it’s a good place to try a snack while you drink but wouldn’t invest on a full meal again!

Perfect place for a Friday night date night! The food was amazing, beer was phenomenal, AND they have a fun selection of board games. We strongly recommend Mija Barbecue and Ash & Ember Brewery.

I’m really torn on this place. The barbecue itself was excellent, perfectly cooked and really flavorful. The issue I had was with the sides and garnishes. The consomé that comes with the birria tacos was some of the worst I’ve ever had. It tasted like onion water. The consomé is a very important part of birria tacos so it kind of ruined the whole meal for me. I also got the beans and they were really nasty as well. Little to no flavor, and the flavor it did have was slightly bitter and just tasted “off”. The other sides I got were the Mac and cheese (decent but not anything amazing) and the elote (good but watery). Overall I would stick to the barbecue here, skip the sides and save yourself some money. I wouldn’t recommend the birria either but maybe we just caught them on a bad day :(

Tried this place from seeing a TikTok, im not sure what happened but the food that I saw on Tik Tok is not what i received. They were out of brisket so I ordered the birria grilled cheese (which came out warm) with pulled pork.. the meat had no flavor and the “consume” was very watery with no flavor. I also ordered elotes which was good & hot.

This brisket y'all! I travel the country for work, and this one is amazing! We also had the pork belly burnt ends...my goodness! They only serve them on Saturday, and they have a brown sugar flavor, but are perfect. Actually, it was all juicy AF and delicious! Do recommend.

The customer service here was horrible. It was mine and my girlfriends first time eating here, so we were a little confused about the ordering process. The lady at the counter was extremely rude and unwelcoming and had a very bad attitude. We ordered our food and decided to take it to go because we wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The food was pretty decent. The mac and cheese was horrible no flavor at all, and the potato salad was more like mashed potatoes mixed with relish. The birria tacos, brisket and elote were very good. Overall, we won't be back due to their service.
