Man I waited 30 min for my fish salad. 1st the gave me all spinach no lettuce it’s supposed to be a mix. Second the fish bites was fried to hard so there was no fish in them it was hard batter the salad was decent by itself. My catfish filets were over cooked no fish just crust the fries was over cooked an hard the koolaid was good I spent $35 an I could have went to McDonald’s. It’s not hard to fry fish not sure how this place has so many stars the women at the front was in they phone ignored me when I walked in I would never recommend or come if the food was free

I ordered the 6 pcs Shrimp basket. Everything was over cooked except for the Okra which cost an extra dollar. The fries was burnt to a crisp. The Shrimp was over cooked rubber in texture. Then had the nerve to show me the plate like they was gonnarebook, after clearly saying no refund or exchanges. This was a total waste of my $14.06. I probable would recommend this place to anyone or be back.

We had such a great experience!! Customer service was A+ Food was a 10 out 10!! Well seasoned and perfectly fried !! Shrimp and Oysters fried and seasoned to perfection! In hate hushpupies but their hushpuppies are 10 out 10!!!

Very rarely do I give Google reviews… I had to give at least 1 Star to post, but please count this as 0 stars.I was waiting at the counter for my order when the cook came out from the kitchen with three orders just as the cashier went into the kitchen. The cook bagged up an order and set down another 2 orders on the counter - one with my name written on top of the box. Then, the cook proceed to go outside to hand off the bagged meal to a customer waiting outside while my food sat out on the counter getting cold. (Mind you, the reason I’d been waiting at the counter is because the food took longer to prepare than quoted by the cashier, and my daughter who doesn’t like seafood had an order waiting at another restaurant.)After waiting at the counter for a while, I tried to politely get the cashier’s attention back in the kitchen - “Excuse me, ma’am. Ma’am.” - to make sure I wasn’t grabbing someone else’s food, but she didn’t respond. Just as I was about to reach and grab my order the cook came back inside. She got an attitude with me. I explained that I was trying to check to see if it was for Leah. She said “No, it’s not.” (Mind you - I see my name.) Before she left to go outside, she never tried to even ask my name when I was standing right there at the counter in front of her waiting patiently. Yet after she left and came back - right after I told her my name, she yells it out loud like I’m not already standing right there in front of her. Then, as I looked down at the napkins on the counter to grab one, she grabs all of them before I can get any.I ordered the Friday special (with the intent to return to try the fish and shrimp combo). However, the food was an appetizer portion, and it was luke warm - at best. The hush puppies were very good, but small like the fish portions. I didn’t even get my koolaid, because I was in a hurry and left to get my daughter’s food. You can’t pay me go back there to try the fish and shrimp combo. (Reposting on Nextdoor to warn as many people as possible to avoid this place!)

First visit, spent $17 on a 2 piece fish w/ 3 shrimp, hush puppies and slaw. + an additional fry. (meal was $14 w/o extra fry) Staff was pretty nice, I can tell she's use to unruly customers by how she interacted with me. The restaurant was clean but I wasn't too impressed by the food. You have the option of light, heavy or medium seasoning. Shrimp was delicious, but the fish was thin, not fried enough and fries didn't look like the photos. It was $2 for the lil cup of jalapeño pickle mix, I have never seen a seafood spot charge for that lol. The meal wasn't seasoned well, I chose medium, overall, wasn't too filling either.

The food was prepared fresh and packed with so much flavor. My granddaughter and I enjoyed it so much, I returned 4 days later. We ordered the fish strip combo w/fries and kool-aid. My second visit I ordered the whole catfish combo meal. Delicious, delicious, delicious! Customer service was excellent! Thank you for the hospitality during our vist. We will return real soon!!!

Today I found somewhere to go when I need a great seafood fix and do not want to cook. I ordered the family dinner #1. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The staff is so inviting.
I had the catfish fillets and they were sooo good! Fresh and seasoned just right. Loved how they were not fried hard. I definitely will be back! I also loved the hush puppies. Found my new seafood place ? the kool aid wasn’t too sweet either.

All I have to say is that it must have been a bad day for Royals cause I won't be back I just moved into the Cedar Hill community saw this place decided to go in when arriving home and getting ready to eat just looking at the fish and fries turned my stomach my husband ate a little and through it away didn't mind the money part and I don't like to critique people establishment but we just wasn't satisfied I'm sorry ? maybe another day.

Unfortunately the food was too salty for my palate. The portion sizes are very large and more than enough food to feed a family of 4 it you get a large. This is a decent spot when your in a rush and your looking for some fried fish. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Had some fired okra my favorite and it was delicious. Got a large garden. Salad and it was very fresh but recommend you leave off the bacon
