Every time I go here my experience is always good! I get seated quickly, the waiters/waitresses are nice, and the food always come out at a reasonable time. I usually go during their lunch hours because they have great prices. I've been able to try a lot, and everything is delicious in my opinion.

Let me share.. it's been a long time coming. On yesterday I had the MOST AMAZING dining experience at SaltGrass in Cedar Hill. Victor and I thoroughly enjoyed every beautiful moment of our pre-anniversary dinner. For years we've loved Saltgrass, a place where there's always good food/service. Well, for years that hasn't been the case for this particular restaurant. Substandard service was the new normal, even with the take out experience. Anyway, back to yesterday "it was amazing"! Our server was on point, Marshayyyyyy girl you restored my confidence in eating at the Cedar Hill location. She was maticulous, just amazing.. I haven't seen service like this in a lonnnnggg time. Being a select member, we always have the opportunity to speak with the Manager.. I had to brag on this jewel. I said this to let you know it's safe to go back to Saltgrass in Cedar Hill. Ask for Marshay and receive a stellar dining experience. I love you all, stay blessed!

Been coming here about 4 years now and seems it constantly gets worse... today was the last straw. Show up at 3pm, not a busy time normally. As we walk up there are a few people sitting outside waiting. We walk in and the greeter says it will be 30-35 minutes... as I'm looking around I see 8 open tables and a couple more that are dirty. Not doing this any more. Going to go somewhere else that actually WANTS to serve customers!

I came here on my birthday back in December. I ordered the pat's 16oz ribeye cooked to medium. I must say I loved this steak! Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Me and my gf ordered fried onions which was really good and I loved the border sauce. Nice, and a little sour like ranch. The potato soup was also delicious! And you can't forget their bread! My waitress was super nice and she was as fast as she could to make sure our food was out ASAP. I love the Texan theme to the restaurant! I will be coming back soon

Restaurant was busy and fairly noisy. When seated the service was swift and attentive. Excellent and generous salads and tasty warm bread. Steaks were cooked to perfection. An outstanding though not inexpensive meal but well worth the money.

My daughter, her friend and I chose Saltgrass Steak House to celebrate her professional music award and had the best time ever. Our server, Trinity made our experience one to remember with her beautiful personality and exceptional customer service. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the managers Chance and Brian rounded out our lunch celebration by stopping by our table to make sure everything was excellent. The team pulled out all of the stops and made for an enjoyable dining experience. We look forward to the next time.

Had lunch at the "Saltgrass Steakhouse". Had the Salmon. The server was extremely unfriendly. The service and meal was not like previous time passed. Never again...

We went here to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday and it was a nice place for this event. They seated 30 of us in the fireplace room. The only issue we had was the 2 long tables seating 6 people on each side were way too close together. The chairs were too close together as well this made it difficult to get in and out from the tables. The service was amazing. They had a dedicated crew to serve us and they were excellent. The food was good and didn't disappoint anyone so that was a good thing. Overall experience was great.

This place had been hit and miss every time I come here. My last visit was a big miss. The first visit was an incredible experience we came for Mother's Day and had a large group. The wife enjoyed it and we came here for our anniversary and that what a huge miss, my wife's food had to be taken back twice, first the salmon was burned and the steak was raw. So I finished eating and her food was finally brought back, salmon was fine but the steak was once again raw. Not even pink but completely red in the middle. Went again as a large group the day after Christmas and the service and food were excellent, went again just the wife and I because I had a craving for chicken fried chicken, and well we ordered and almost 30 minutes later the waiter said the food was talking so long because my wife ordered a well done steak, another 20 minutes went by and I asked the waiter why it was taking so long to get our order. His response, I don't know, I'm not back there cooking it, so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager also said he didn't know, I told him I knew it didn't take 45 minutes to make a well done steak. He said he would check, but by know I had decided that I just needed to go. So I asked for the check and then left.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH SALT GRASS STEAK HOUSE IN CEDAR HILL? We made dinner reservations there to avoid the New Year's Eve crowd & traffic last year, and everything was wonderful: Good food, good service, good crowd, low traffic impact. So we made reservations there again this year. BIG MISTAKE! No qualms about the food. It wasn't packed, so there was plenty of seating, even if reservations weren't made. But WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL RESTAURANTS IS GOING ON WITH THE SERVICE???? I'll get straight to the cherry on the top... Our table had no placeholders. I asked our Server to (at least) bring some napkins when the appetizers were served. Well, we got the little "drink" napkins, and still no silverware. I thought, ok I'll be patient, they'll bring it when they bring the food. NO, DIDN'T HAPPEN! Our Server didn't even come back to the table to check on us when our food was brought out. So, we had to go ask the Hostess for placeholders. It took a minute for her to return. During that time, our Server finally showed up again, came over, and asked us if our meal was perfect. We told her we didn't know, we had no utensils to eat with. When the Hostess finally returned, she asked us a question that we'd NEVER heard asked in a restaurant before, in either of our lifetimes. She said, "We are completely out of silverware, so would you mind using plastic?" Our minds were reeling. We couldn't believe what we were hearing. WHO EATS STEAK WITH PLASTICWARE? Here we are spending well over $100+, and we're asked to eat our steaks with plastic. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Well, as I mentioned earlier, the restaurant had plenty of seating. I'd already noticed some of the unoccupied tables did have placeholders. So I kindly asked the Hostess if we could please get placeholders from one of those tables. She was kind enough to accommodate us. Well, the Server started checking on us more regularly after that episode. Maybe she thought about how this would affect her tip, at this point; a little too late. However, we did leave a tip, although undeserved, but it wasn't the % I would normally leave for good service. If you're going to work in Customer Service, SERVE THE CUSTOMERS WITH YOUR BEST, (at least have enough silverware for all of the Customers). WHAT IN THE WORLD? With service continuing at the level we received last night, Salt Grass can't expect Customers to remain satisfied, and faithful Patrons. I thought we would make this a New Year's Eve tradition, but we won't be back next New Year's Eve. Not sure if/when we will ever return. SO DISAPPOINTED.

The Service: We came here the day after Christmas, and it seemed they were short staffed because our wait time was 50 minutes. We waited because we had a gift card, and my brother recommended the steak here. For them to be short staffed, I felt the crew worked together seamlessly and hustled with seeming to rush anyone. Everyone was pleasant, and the manager was helping with the tables as well! The Food: My husband's steak was delicious, cooked just right on the inside, and nice and tasty char on the outside. My pork ribs were tasty, not seat wiggling good, but they were tender. The Mac n cheese was ok. The grilled shrimp was yummy and grilled just right!
