Great food and service. The only complaint is the place is always cold.

I frequently dine at Toasted Walnut, after I first discovered this gem of a bistro. I had planned to celebrate a relatives birthday there on December 16; I was thrilled that the owners had scheduled Christmas carols by a quartet; consequently, my delicious food was accompanied by superb music. Of course, the food and service don’t really need any support, but the music by these talented musicians dressed in Victorian attire certainly balanced the food and service. Finally, the decor was as delightful as the food and music. Consequently, my relative declared that this birthday celebration was one she will not forget.

Had dinner at Toasted Walnut last evening bc they advertised they were having Christmas Carolers . Oh My Goodness, it did not disappoint. Although the singers were in period Costumes and their voices were amazing- the food and service stole the show for me and our family. I had the fish tacos with a side salad, and the men had the Wagyu Burger with house made chips. The servers were very attentive, and I believe perhaps even a manager visited our table to make sure everything was going well. I might have come to do something a bit different and special around the Christmas Holiday, but I’ll be back for the whole
Experience ; especially the food and service.

Veryyy slow service. They loaded us up on fries and bread but the burgers had hardly any meat. I left feeling still hungry after my meal. My husband’s soup was over-salted and the garlic bread had ZERO garlic flavor. They also never refilled our drinks. Over-all we had a horrible experience here and will most likely never return.

We stopped by the cozy downtown Celina and the Toasted Walnut. The atmosphere is warm and charming — they were busy.

I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Tomato soup and the sandwich was really good. The bread very tasty. The tomato soup rush and warm. The brisket tacos sauce was over done. The service was ok at best.

This place is a hidden gem. We started with the hummus appetizer and it was really good. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, literally the best one I've ever had. My wife got the chicken salad sandwich and loved it. The service was really good, they were really nice except for the bearded guy in the cook station who kept staring me down for whatever reason. However the food here is the best on the square.

Stopped by The Toasted Walnut in downtown Celina after showing houses, and it was the perfect spot to relax and refuel! The atmosphere is absolutely charming — elegant chandeliers, cozy booths with curtains, and thoughtful details everywhere. I love the quote on the wall: “The best memories are made around the table.” It truly sets the tone.

We ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Tribbiani, both served with perfectly seasoned fries — crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Everything was fresh and full of flavor! I paired mine with a chilled glass of wine (they also have beer on tap), and it hit the spot.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Whether you’re meeting friends, grabbing lunch after house hunting, or just treating yourself, this place feels like a little gem in Celina.

✨ Cozy ambiance, delicious food, and great service — The Toasted Walnut is a must-try!

If you’re looking for the best restaurant in Celina, TX, look no further than Toasted Walnut Café. I’ve been a repeat customer here for months, and I can honestly say I’ve worked my way through the entire menu — there isn’t a single miss. Every dish is crafted with intention, and you can taste the care and heart behind the food.

The atmosphere is warm and uplifting. From the inviting design to the Bible verses on the walls and booths, you can feel the values and passion of the people running this place. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s an experience where hospitality and great food meet.

As for the food? Flawless. My seasonal favorites rotate, but right now the standout for me is the Smoked Turkey Sandwich on Steroids with Sweet Fries. The turkey is perfectly smoked, layered with flavor, and paired with those sweet potato fries that come out crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and just seasoned enough to make every bite addictive. The balance of textures and flavors is spot on — this is comfort food done at a high level.

Toasted Walnut isn’t just a place to grab a bite; it’s a local gem that truly represents Celina. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or something in between, you’ll find something that hits the spot every time. You can tell the owners and staff truly care about what they’re creating, and that makes a world of difference.

I recommend Toasted Walnut to everyone — families, friends, and anyone who appreciates fresh, intentional cooking. In a town that’s growing fast, this place is a reminder that food can still be personal, soulful, and deeply satisfying.

Stopped with friends from Celina. We would definitely go back. Nice portion size and it was delicious. Shared a hot pimento cheese dip with their home made chips and it was all good!
