Everything was great except the service. You have heard service with a smile, well this was service with a frown. The most unfriendly person you will meet. Oh, he did take our order, bring our food, but no good morning how your doing or anything. No thanks for coming, how was everything. He needs to find a job he likes.

We stumbled on this restaurant on a much longer trip. We had breakfast and the food was excellent. My wife had blueberry waffles that was toasted perfectly around the edges and grits while I had an omelette and a plain waffle The coffee was very good. Plus they had a lot of baked goods which we stocked up on before we left. If you are in Centerville, this is a fine little restaurant to eat at.

What a great cafe! Quiet, quaint, great food and great service. I can’t tell you how much it meant to have my change counted back versus dropping a wad of cash back in my hand.

Both my husband and I had the patty melt. It was delicious. The onion rings are fantastic. Awesome place to eat. We will be back.

I was disappointed. The wait staff was 2 or 3 taciturn men, and I believe the woman who seemed to give us the stink eye was the cook. All I can think of is that we got there 5 minutes after breakfast ended but they said we could order it and maybe that inconvenienced her. Or maybe she woke up that way. Or maybe it wasn't related to us at all.
All I know is that the food was unremarkable and the service, although efficient, was perfunctory.
We'll try again when it's not opening day for whitetail season. It wasn't the atmosphere I read about in other reviews.
