Woody's Smokehouse Northbound

Ordered a chopped beef sandwich. Got to the car.. ended up with a sliced beef ($9.99) sandwich that I can’t even call a sandwich because it had 5 tiny little pieces of meat on it. Cheap out at $9.99. And all the manager has to say was “I’m sorry”… well guess what. Apologies don’t solve problems and I, not any of my big family, will ever go back there again. And I’m sharing this terrible experience and lack of caring with EVERYONE i know and meet!

Very clean bathrooms. Kinda like a small Buccees inside with snacks, souvenirs, bakery items, etc. Cashier was a young blonde girl/teen, very friendly very fast service.

This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved it! It feels like this place has been around long before Buc-ee’s, yet it gives off a similar vibe—which I adore.

The chopped beef sandwich was delicious, and my friend tried a variety of barbecue items and raved about all of them. Needless to say, this is a spot I’ll definitely stop at whenever I’m traveling from Houston. Highly recommended!

Despite the rude, subpar service from the girls at the burger station, i enjoyed this place. It’s like a more homey Buccee’s. My fudge and peanut butter cup were delicious, and the burger was one of the best ones I’ve had in a while. This isn’t an area I would necessarily stop at after dark, though; it gives certain small town vibes, if you know what I mean.

Purchased coffee from cashier in back. Filled up coffee in back and tossed receipt in the trash. Then was stopped by man in front stating I would need to show my receipt to prove I purchased my coffee. Went back to trashcan to retrieve receipt. Recommend telling customers that is a requirement to leave the store with coffee at time of purchase to avoid customers digging in trash.

Thought the place was nice overall and had great potential.The customer service was horrendous. I mean beyond horrendous. The cashier hadn’t heard what we wanted properly. Instead of clarifying she decided to pick a little something for us. We had asked for a egg and cheese biscuit and were charged for and given a burrito. We didn’t even take the food because we didn’t order that. Those words are worlds apart. Even if there was a misunderstanding or some sort of a miscommunication, after talking to who I think was the manager instead of trying to resolve the issue they told us “thank you for your time” and pointed to the doors indicating we need to leave. I was appalled by how we were being treated. What a ridiculous customer service. Never have I ever I experienced such horrible service, truly NEVER. Horrible place I will never return nor recommend this place, waste of money and time.

Stopped at Woody's on Christmas while traveling! Great food! We tried ribs, brisket and a turkey leg. Everything was GREAT! The customer service was EXCELLENT!
