Stopped to grab some food only chicken they had was the half chicken and honestly it looked disgusting and I should have just left it right there. Not sure how this place stays in business. Place is dark and dirty. Makes me angry that all I wanted was some good food and I couldn't even get that... just look at the pictures only thing I ate was the bread the rest straight in the trash.

Visited from San Angelo, almost loved everything about place until I was charged over thirty dollars for my order. I'm one person....on a budget. I'm not oilfield, rancher, big city.....I'm living on the poverty line. Came with 2 friends they were charged over $50 for two plates. I felt like I was robbed.

I've only been during deer season so might be different during concert season. Been 2 times in the last 2 weeks. Once because we were in a hurry and second time because Hidalgos was closed. If Hidalgos is closed I suggest going to get a couple chimichanga's and a half a tank of diesel at Allsup's before coopers. The BBQ sauce and potato salad are ok other than that it is over priced and as my son described it "tastes like the bbq in the school cafeteria". Chopped beef sandwich was basically a shredded sloppy Joe but not on a toasted bun, they just pull the bun from the bag, might have even get the chopped from a box. Ribs are hard to eat off the bone much less fall off the bone. Brisket is dry with no flavor. Jalapeño sausage was luke warm if that. Cheese in the inside was solid, guess because the didn't dip it in their warmed up sauce in the pit. The icing on the cake the last visit was when the kid walked over to clean the condiment counter and picked up onion that someone must have dropped and he tossed it back into the bowl of onions. I know expectations shouldn't be high for a "Pit" bbq joint to still have brisket at 7pm and have to dip it in sauce to help reheat and moist, but come on man have the bbq match the price or vice-vera

Wonderful people; wonderful food. Smoked turkey is not something I’d normally order at a Texas bbq, but it was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Attended a concert here. They don’t have restrooms just a bank of port-a-potty’s which isn’t unusual for most outside venues. However, most places provide some portable wash stations as well so you can wash your hands. Also, they did not have the port-a-potty’s emptied prior to the concert. It was a warm week so the smell was awful. Worse yet they were situated along the north wall of the venue and there was a north wind. You could not escape the smell of p*** all night. Poor experience. Will not go back.
