Wolf brand chili and can tamales. I was NOT impressed, in fact a trip to Alsups would’ve been a better choice!

I went here during a work trip after hearing about it on “Chet the Daytripper”. The value is great for the food you get. I got the combo fajitas. The chicken was good but the steak was about average (and a little chewy and fatty). However, it’s tough to beat a dinner for $11. I would definitely give this place another try but order chicken, pork, or ground beef instead of the steak next time.

good food, great service.
My husband and I ordered the fish special when we were there Friday evening. The chips were thin and crispy like we prefer, and the hot sauce was good. It could’ve used a bit more spice, but is probably just right for some. When our plates were brought out, there were very generous helpings, and I was thinking I’d have plenty of fish leftover to take some home. It comes with your choice of fries or rice, and a salad. We both chose fries, and they were pretty tasty. She offered the option of getting the salad before or with the meal, and we decided to wait so we could have time for chips and hot sauce 🙂
The fish looked fried to perfection, and when I first took a bite it was nice and crunchy corn meal breading and a great flavor. But the tricky part came after. The outer part of the fish was very tough and chewy and hard to chew long enough to be able to eat it. We both finally just started eating the fish out of the middle of the tough outer layer. We basically “peeled” the outer layer back to be able to eat the fish. It was very disappointing, as we’d heard the fish was great. Normally when we eat there, we have Mexican food or breakfast and it’s usually pretty good, so we didn’t expect a disappointing meal. We didn’t send it back or even mention it, so we didn’t really give them a chance to offer an option.
They do offer good lunch specials Monday-Saturday and it’s great that you can order them all day, not just for lunch.

I'm 85 have traveled and lived in several states and 2 countries. Their Traditional Mexican food is excellent BUT I AM A HAMBURGER FREEK. IF YOU HAVE NEVER TRIED THEIR HAMBURGER ON JALOPENO BUN. Oh my. Best Hamburger I've ever had in my life right here in Cisco Tx. Staff always very friendly. Clean facility.
