This is a home cooked meal type place. It has been in cleburne for years! Always great food and worth coming back to. The decor has much of cleburnes history on it with the rail road and trains plastered every where. I will say the used to have a train going around the top trim that went in tunnels and thelastti.e I went I was not going around. That was kind of disappointing being I loved to show my littles this when we would go.

I consider myself lucky to have found this Absolute Gem of a restaurant/Cafe!!The Food - Excellent the best breakfast I’ve ever had from anywhere so good in fact i probably won’t have breakfast anywhere else ever again! And will be back to try lunch and Dinner at some point…The Service - Terrific they were on point! Polite, nice, fast, and you are not finishing your drink before they are asking you if you need a refill absolutely 0 complaints!The Atmosphere - Beautiful everything about the decorations and set up just makes you feel cozy and comfortable

In my honest opinion..food was bland. Corn bread was flavorless but maybe that's because I'm used to Jiffy sweet corn bread.The salad came out room temp/warm. I had the CFS and without gravy, hot sauce or ranch, it was bland and flavorless. Others had the cat fish and some had the nachos...the chips for the nachos were burnt and their cheese is melted Shredded cheese.This was our first time there and I'm not 100% sure we would return. The staff and pricing was good but I just can't get past the flavorless food ?

Terrible. Just absolutely terrible. One of the worst meals I've ever eaten. Got takeout, the chicken fried steak wasn't hammered out thin at all, tough as an old tire to chew on. Macaroni was watery, the beans weren't put into their own separate container so bean juice got into the macaroni and the mashed potatoes. Food was overall very bland, entire meal was a soggy mess of flavorless bean water. Genuinely shockingly awful.

I've been there 3 times in the past 3 to 4 years. I remember the first time was great. The last 2 times was not so good. I paid 17.00 for Roast beef with gravy with fries. I got 3 paper thin slices of meat about 4 inches in diameter; and the gravy was like water. The fries was so so so soggy and the whole plate was Luke warm. I ate all but it had little to no flavor. I did give a tip as it wasn't his fault.

Love this restaurant - whatever you think you want when you come in the door may quickly become something else altogether! Really good burgers, full dinner meals or sometimes I just want eggs, bacon, grits, toast and it will served quickly and hot! When waiting, drinking my coffee, I get to watch the train run around near the ceiling - have only been in two other restaurants in Texas where they had a train running around while I ate -love trains! This is a real downhome type of restaurant!
