If I could specifically give ZERO stars to the female manager at this location- I would. I typically don’t leave reviews, especially not about bad service at a drive thru but, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Staff looked like they were having a hard night, though there was only 2 cars other than me in the drive thru. After 30 minutes of sitting, and being asked several times if a wrong order was mine, I realized they had me pay for the wrong order initially. The car in front of me also looked like they drove off without any food as well after a long time sitting. When she came to the window, all she said was “what?” I was taken aback and just said excuse me? She then said “what is the problem?” I explained, as well as a staff member explained to her. She then said, “ so do you want the food or not? With that sort of commentary, I let her know I would just like a refund and to be able to go. Disappointing that you can sit for half an hour after working all day and still not receive the food that you paid for and not even a positive attitude about resolving the issue Again, I say the staff really wasn’t the problem. They looked extremely stressed out, And the manager certainly was not helping with her attitude and handling of the situation. This was my first time trying this particular location and it will certainly be the last. I sure hope they start treating their staff better.
Prices have gone up so much and the sizes of the chicken has gotten so much smaller!

Terrible service, I’ve been here 3 times yes I know if they are that bad why come back, well I have hope the next time they would get things right but never do, they short you on tenders and never get your rider right or will forget your drinks every single time, do not recommend this location at all…

The chicken here is good but the service in the drive thru is manic. Some days are great and some days awful but very inconsistent. My biggest issue here are the prices, for some reason the stores in cleburne and glen rose are expensive and don't offer the same specials as other locations.... $16 for a 4 tender meal is ridiculous, I can eat sit down restaurants cheaper.

The name chicken express is somewhat of a dichotomy. They rarely ever have chicken ready to go and on the rare occasion that they do, its a long wait. Not much express about it.
If you're wanting good sweet tea, go to Granbury or Glen Rose locations. If you want good fried chicken, I'd do the same. I quit going here because the last time I got chicken it was so burned I couldn't believe it.

Couldn’t even eat my food because of the disgusting smell coming from the kitchen. Also the workers were highly disrespectful i was taken aback. Should be reported to the health department.

Employees don't wash their hands between touching money at the cash register and handling food. I didn't see a single person wearing gloves.
I waited over 30 minutes for a simple order of a number two with liver and gizzards. When I first placed the order, I was told it would take 5-10 minutes for the liver and gizzards, which I was fine with. After 20 minutes, the drive-thru was empty, so I pulled back up to the window after being instructed to wait. I asked what was going on, and the male employee at the window informed me that they had forgotten to drop the liver and gizzards and that it would be another 1-2 minutes.
Five minutes later, I went inside to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, she was unhelpful and became defensive, claiming there was nothing she could do and that they weren’t perfect. I had to request some form of compensation, only to be given a gallon of tea. As I was leaving, the manager called me names, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing
