Best burgers in a 50 mile radius of Clifton. Bring a big appetite!

Don’t let first impressions turn you away. Food was good, people friendly. Good experience! Had burgers and pizza, tasty!

My sister and I were in Clifton for a family funeral and found this place relatively close to the church for a late lunch. Not being a fan of typical bar food, I was a little hesitant, but my sister wanted to eat and get on the road.Owner/manager Ryan was friendly and welcoming, and a display of George Strait memorabilia (a fellow #SWTSU ‘79 Alumni, and the “King of Country Music” in my country radio days) sparked good memories all around.Ryan promised the food would be good, and it was. I just had my daily allotment of carbs and fat in one meal!I enjoyed the fish sandwich, which came with both hush puppies and their own version of fried potatoes, sort of a cross between fries and skins. The fish filets were crispy and perfectly fried, and the cook followed my request for light tartar sauce. The bun/fish ratio was a little heavy on the bun side, but at least it was sourdough so it had a little more flavor than a run-of-the mill hamburger bun. Some cole slaw would have been nice to balance the meal.My sister had a personal sized pizza and seemed to enjoy it. It had plenty of cheese and the toppings she requested, and the crust was thin and crispy, just the way we like it.However, it came out on a pizza peel (board) that seemed just barely large enough to accommodate it, which concerned me. It seemed in danger of dripping cheese onto the table, or sliding off. I’m used to seeing at least an inch or so between the pizza and the edge of the peel.I expect the place rocks at night. It has several pool tables, a good jukebox and room for boot-scootin’ if you are so inclined. The ladies bathroom was clean and spacious, and from what we saw of the kitchen, It was clean and well organized. All in all, a good experience and a real asset to a small town like Clifton.

Beer was very low priced. I had the pork sliders and was very impressed. My wife had a cheese burger with a jalapeño bun and fries. I ate half of her fries. They were the best ive had in a long time. I will definitely be going back. Great service and staff.

My coworkers and I went for lunch and service was terrible. Brought one burger out when we all ordered at the same time and not to mention didn’t even bother to put our order in for our appetizer. Very disappointed!

Foothills Restaurant & Bar opened in mid-May. Friendly folks and lots of seating at tables and at the bar. Two wall-mounted TV's [off when I was there] and two pool tables. Food includes burgers, wraps, sliders, and wings. I had the Sweet Hot BBQ wings and they were tasty but HOT. The Lemon Pepper chicken wings and the chicken sliders were also recommended. More of a pub during the day and bar in the evenings, I think. I will make a second trip soon.
