Very good place to eat . Good food , good service.
My first time here, it was great.
El Charro is a regular for us. We have found our favorite dishes and they are happy to add or subtract ingredients as requested. I am from South TX and I find the flavor closest resembling my hometown esp for the money and speed of receiving the food.
I go here all the time! The food is delicious and I enjoy talking to the staff there. If you're looking for friendly staff and good Mexican food this is the place!!!
food ain't really that good meat isn't the best quality but at least their sweet tea is good.
Opened take out box and a roach crawled out of the box! I'll pass!!!!
Really good food and plenty of it. The street tacos are some of the best we've had since leaving deep South Texas on the Rio Grande River. They offer shredded pork which is seldom at the larger chain restaurants. I had the sour cream enchiladas which again are not offered at most Mexican food restaurants and you are even able to choose which meat you want them prepared with. Rice was good, refried beans were good, and the charro beans were good. Only downside is tortillas are not house made but they were still to our likeing
Dont recommend this place AT ALL ! The sever poured sweet tea that was ALREADY consumed by a customer back into the tea urn and mixed it with new tea because the tea wasn’t sweet enough . The manager came over to the table and had an idgaf attitude and told us there was nothing she can do because it’s already been done and CONTINUED TO SERVE THE TEA TO OTHER CUSTOMERS!!! Then argued to take the tea off our check . Don’t eat this place unless you want tea that has other peoples spit in it .
Paid 139$ tab after they poured used tea glasses back into their tea containers talked to the manager and she basically told us to get over it what's done is done and she had no respect or concerns about everything we said to her i would never recommen this place to anyone they reserve used food and drinks
Another customer ordered a sweet tea and drank out of his cup but he complained that the tea was unsweetened. Workers took his cup, tasted it, and then poured customers already drank tea into the container for serving after adding sugar and served it back to him and other customers. Manager on duty said that there was nothing she could do because it was already done and that they would continue serving and that we needed to get over it. Disgusting.

I enjoy supporting small business as I travel. I wanted to love this place but I was unfortunately disappointed. It was very dirty, the staff looked unhappy and were unfriendly, and the food was unacceptable. I got the sausage, chicken and beef fajitas. The meat was tough but i didn't want to be impolite and was going to eat the plate. But I tried the beef and it was rancid so I spit it out in a napkin discretely. We paid for our meal but we left without finishing.

I was taken here this evening (11 November) with a family friend. The menu was entirely enticing and it was hard to choose just one thing. The chips and salsa were really good, especially the salsa. It had a spiciness to it that other restaurants don't quite have. I chose the taco salad expecting a small tortilla bowl and some meat and vegetables. What came back to our table was so much larger than I expected. It was wider than the palm of my hand and stacked high with meat, cheese, guacamole, and fresh tomatoes. It was delicious. I look forward to being able to come back and try more of the menu. It has a nice, comfortable, casual vibe and everyone I glanced at, looked content with the food. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, always making sure I had my drink filled despite how busy it was when we arrived.
Vegetarian options: I didn't see anything separating the vegan and non-vegan options, but I'd need to reread the menu again to be sure.
Dietary restrictions: They cook with Cilantro/coriander, dairy, seafood, shellfish, and egg as far as o can tell. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for those with severe allergies to common food allergens.
Parking: The parking lot was small, just to the side of the restaurant and was so full I had to pull into the overflow lot next door. The spaces were awkward, tightly packed, and some of the parking stones are off-centred and can accidentally ruin the front end of lower+riding cars.
Kid-friendliness: It's not super kid-oriented but they have a small kids menu and simple dishes. They give small children lidded polystyrene cups instead of the larger plastic cups to prevent spillage.
Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is rough, hard to drive into and park. It would be tough for a wheelchair to manoeuvre the dirt and bumps, especially if they're parking in the overflow lot next door.
