El Charro is a regular for us. We have found our favorite dishes and they are happy to add or subtract ingredients as requested. I am from South TX and I find the flavor closest resembling my hometown esp for the money and speed of receiving the food.
Really good food and plenty of it. The street tacos are some of the best we've had since leaving deep South Texas on the Rio Grande River. They offer shredded pork which is seldom at the larger chain restaurants. I had the sour cream enchiladas which again are not offered at most Mexican food restaurants and you are even able to choose which meat you want them prepared with. Rice was good, refried beans were good, and the charro beans were good. Only downside is tortillas...
I was taken here this evening (11 November) with a family friend. The menu was entirely enticing and it was hard to choose just one thing. The chips and salsa were really good, especially the salsa. It had a spiciness to it that other restaurants don't quite have. I chose the taco salad expecting a small tortilla bowl and some meat and vegetables.
