Friendly waiter, food was fast and delicious. I'm a picky person so I tweaked my order and there was no problem. Over all it was a good place to have lunch

What happened to El Toro's?? Ever since the change in management this place has gone down hill.. it's a shame, it use to be a great place to eat.. If you get refried beans, you barely get 2 spoonfuls. The food quality has gone way down since they changed management. The prices have gone up. It's just not what it used to be, I won't come back anymore, they got rid of too many good servers.

Great food & Best Happy Hour!!
The food tasted like someone's Abuela was in the kitchen ensuring everyone who came to the table was well fed and satisfied.
My man Erick waited on us and suggested a new appetizer hack: get the chicharones and the table guacamole. What an amazing combo.
The food in this place is always delicious. What a jewel hidden away in Clute.

Was in town from Mississippi and always come here to eat at least once when visiting. Food was wonderful as always! Service could have been better but not completely bad. Overall experience was great!

Be sure to VERIFY your bill!! Some of their servers are not qualified for the simplest of tasks. My sister was over charged $40 by given the wrong bill. It took her 2 days to be reimbursed and the ASM had the gall to self-impose a tip!! We had to wait over 20 minutes for drinks. Watched several groups come in after us and leave before us. Service was beyond atrocious. Food was okay. Our server has no business working the floor. ASM did little to rectify our horrible experience. Will definitely not return. If you get “Margaret” demand a different server or you will regret it! Guaranteed!

What happened to this place? Officially the worst Texmex experience I've had anywhere, just insulting. The waiter couldn't have cared less that our table existed as he constantly walked away mid-conversation and mid-drink order, and wore black rubber gloves as if he'd just finished unclogging a sink in the back. Fajitas were made from, what seemed like, an Applebee's-style thawed-then-microwaved packet of disgusting vegetables and meat, dropped on a hot skillet for appearances sake. To make matters worse our brilliant server then forgot to bring guac and pico for all our fajita orders (party of 8) and gave no apologies or cares about screwing up that part of the plate, finally bringing them out as we finished up. We've been coming here for decades at this point and now simply cannot recommend. Expensive too!

The food was excellent the service excellent. Christie was our waitress and she did an outstanding job! Everyone there was very attentive and helped each other out. I came all the way from Bay City to here and it was worth the drive. I believe Hector is the manager and he did an awesome job as well and made our conversation worth while.

Lil Miguel was awesome at our table. He even used ASL to communicate with us. 7 people at table who uses ASL! Merry Christmas!
Charged my credit card $41 over!! Thanks Margaret server. Takes several days to correct im told . Won't be back. When a customer asks for a itemized receipt just do it. If this doesn't correct in 24hrs will be contacting visa to deny payment and investigate

Amazing food! Felt like a good mix of Gringos, Guadalajara and Pappasitos. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Ate here several times and wasn’t disappointed on anything. Loved it. Would recommend.

Just another chain Mexican restaurant. NOTHING SPECIAL. They try to make Mexican food fancy that its loose authenticity. OVERPRICED. There is better service and authentic Mexican food across the street.

Natasha is an amazing server. We request her every time we visit this location.
Love El Toro
There are so many great dishes. My go-to are the Tex-mex plates, but the pozole, taco soup, seared ahi tuna salad, and tropical tilapia are also great options.
Everything was so good, especially the fajita combo — it was amazing! Even the chips were really flavorful.
