We went to Las Islitas for lunch mid-November after reading good reviews. We arrived and there were only a few other people in the restaurant. The atmosphere was dull but we expected the food to make up for it. We ordered unsweet iced tea to drink and tacos off the limited menu. After a few minutes the server returned to tell us (in an unpleasant tone) they didn't have any ice tea. We don't drink soft drinks so we ordered water. The server returned with two plastic bottles of filtered spring water, no glasses or ice. The server abruptly returned again and told my wife they didn't have any chicken, my wife didn't know what else to order and the server didn't offer any help or provide a menu, just stood over her waiting for an answer. Not knowing what else to do in the moment my wife decided to not order anything and just share one of my tacos. It was obvious this was not going to be a good experience and in hind sight we should have walked out then. My tacos came and were average at best. We ate the tacos and drank the plastic bottle of water, and the server never checked on us, even though she was not busy, except on her phone. We will NEVER return to this restaurant. Worst experience we have had in a long time.

My only regret is not discovering this gem sooner. Best Mexican Seafood in the area! Fresh and from scratch!

Food was very authentic Mexican food. The service was quick and courteous. I will be returning…
Atmosphere here is flat. Upon entering I got a strong scent of cleaners or chemicals of some sort used for cleaning. It was a total turn off for me as I was expecting good food smells. Drinks were served in to go glasses which was handy. The green sauce was very good and spicy 🔥. The shrimp salad stuff was weird. No baskets of chips but just a few round fried tostada chips in a basket of salada crackers. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful and the service was really good. The meal was nice enough. I had shrimp enchiladas with rice and beans. The refried beans were thin and watery but tasted okay. The rice was delicious. people need to know this isn't a traditional Tex Mex restaurant but a Mexican coastal seafood restaurant. They serve mostly seafood entrees. The food was delicious and I ate everything but the salad stuff. The tea was delicious and the decor was lacking. It lacked character and my guest died it felt soul less. The decor felt like things bought at yard sale and placed on the wall. We need a story or something more warm and inviting. It felt so cold and uninviting. I believe with some adjustments things could turn around for this place.

Terrible place, we were there recently, we were only 4 people to eat and they counted us as 6 because I brought my babies just to charge us the tip, without even telling us (definitely if you are one of the people who does not check the ticket, do it) on top of that we left more money in the table, I understand when they are children and they eat but babies... They are freeloaders, without taking into account the attitude of the very unfriendly employees, we will definitely not return there. If you value your money I advise you not to visit that place..
Very good service and spectacular food, super delicious, very good flavor and seasoning ❤️

It's a nice clean restaurant the waitress was awesome. The salsa and bowl of complementary cavichi was great. But the salsa was to hot for most people and definitely not suited for the average child. I would have liked something mild or even just hot to go with the cavichi, not extra hot that was a bit much. We ordered a mixed cavichi starter and it was ok, it was fresh but needed more flavor. I would have liked diced onion/jalapeno/garlic and more lime. I added squeeze of line a generous amount of salt and some hot sauce and it was pretty good. The entree was a mixed seafood dish and again the seafood was fresh, it was delicious with the sauce. But there was no carrier or food to combine and eat the seafood with. The seafood itself with a fork was Soso. It needed a good spoon of the sauce of the sauce to flavor it. If I had a crusty bread or even a soft tortilla to eat it with it would have been 5☆'s If we go back Iam bringing a baguette with me.

I recently dined at Las Islitas and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas, and the chicken tasted uncooked, which was quite concerning. Additionally, the tortillas were clearly not fresh; they had that unmistakable taste and smell of store-bought tortillas, significantly detracting from the overall dish.
When I shared my concerns with the manager, I hoped for a more thoughtful response. However, the only option she offered was a box to take my meal home, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. It’s frustrating to pay for a meal that doesn’t meet expectations, and I left feeling unsatisfied and unheard.
If I could give this a zero star I would.

$23 for these aguachiles is a joke. Lady upfront was rude. On the phone she said my order would take 10 mins I got there in 5 and told me I had to wait 20-30 mins because there was a table she had to attend to I then told her I was told it would take 10 mins and she laughed

Nice to have something different for Sunday lunch, Mexican seafood was great! We tried the spicy camarones a la diabla (kind of like shrimp ettouffe) and garlic grilled fish. Very good flavor and prompt service, clean restaurant.

The food and the service were phenomenal!! They serve ceviche and tostadas instead of chips and salsa and it's amazing. The ceviche tostadas, shrimp empanada and paella are amazing!
