I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. This is by for the #1 burger in Brazoria county. If you want a greasy cheesy burger that is off the chain, then look no further. I always get the jalapeño burger and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly as well

I love the vibe here. Felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. customer service and the attention to detail was excellent almost to perfection.Good old country feel in the atmosphere, and you can tell that the beef patties was well Prepared and not frozen inside of a box. I tried their dirty south burger and I really enjoyed. I wasn’t too much of a fan of the sweet sauce in it but definitely enjoyed it and definitely will come back.

Working in Freeport from out of town wanted a hotdog so I went to Papa Dogz. Have to said I enjoyed the dog and the atmosphere was heading to work or I would have had a good cold beer. Which they also serve. GOOD menu. Nice small place to enjoy with friends and family.

Awesome food and service! I wish there was one of these places in the metroplex.
While in town working I searched by star rating. I love burgers so I tried it. Liked it so much I came back the next day. Day 3 had to go to Sherwin Williams, across the street, back for 3rd day in a row. Excellent burgers.

I often forget who recommends or where I heard about which burger joint, but I know this was a both a Kelly Chilcote Mears and JD Armstrong recommendation. And boy was it a good one. Mr. Dogz earns extra credit for (1) smashburgers only… loud and proud… it’s like we don’t even need to say it’s the way to people’s hearts… (2) house made sauce… mayo is great… homemade ranch is better… but you’ll always win me over with some concoction you whipped up… even if it’s just off-brand ketchup and mayo mixed together… and (3) bringing redemption to the old Long John Silvers building. So the menu itself had already gotten me excited but that was only the beginning. I got the double bacon cheeseburger which is a misleading because the double part is the cheese. I neglected to realize that this burger was on Texas Toast - and while I don’t have anything against Texas Toast - it wouldn’t be my first choice when you’re also serving a delicious bun. Those things aside, the burger itself was dynamite. This one’s got American and ‘white’ cheese, crispy bacon chunks, pickles, house made sauce, and your choice of onions (presumably the choices are raw and grilled… clearly they should just prevent peoples poor decision-making and go grilled). The burger had great flavor, was juicy but not overly greasy, and had strong ratios (although I honestly could’ve done without the extra cheese). The crispy seasoned fries and tea were also great, but this hometown burger was the shining star. Now Clute (home of the Great Texas Mosquito Festival, by the way) is not my hometown per se… but when we want to… Jones Creek latches onto the greater Brazosport area… especially when we’re not boasting any burger joints ourselves. Cheers to Papa Dogz for killing it with the smashburgers for hometown folks!

Fantastic food! We rolled through the drive through one day and while it was a long wait it was completely worth it. The bacon jam burger was to die for, the Philly cheesy steak absolutely delicious and none of it lacking any flavor. The fries seemed like they were very fresh and extra crispy which I love. Overall 10/10.
