I love eating at Next Bistro. Maude offers very personalized service. She remembers what I like as she is always very gracious. The menu and wine selections are excellent. I love it that they have a value-priced lunch menu and they don't skimp on food volume.

I came here for dinner with a friend and ended up having a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a refined and elegant feel, and the food was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. It exceeded my expectations and made for a very enjoyable evening.

Our dinner was great (steak, salad, chicken noodle soup and French onion soup)as was the service and the drinks. Maude was great as always. The chocolate soufflé was light and delicious. Even though the restaurant was mostly full the noise level was still fairly low. Another wonderful meal in the books at Next. We'll definitely be back soon.

The food is excellent! It was loud the night we were there. Our service was very good . the waiter was attentive and our food came out perfect.

We dined here on New Year’s Eve.
Next served a special prix fixe menu, fully aware it was a premium, higher-priced experience. The cost itself was not an issue.

What was disappointing was discovering afterward that a 20% gratuity had already been automatically added — which is unusual for a party of two — while the payment slip still presented a standard tip line with no clear indication that gratuity was included. In the moment, it was easy to miss, and we unintentionally tipped again.

I have no problem with auto-gratuity when it’s clearly and unmistakably disclosed. The concern here is transparency. Presenting an additional tip prompt without explicit notice creates unnecessary confusion, particularly on an already expensive special-event menu.

The food and service were good, but this practice undermines trust and detracted from what should have been a celebratory evening.

Wife and I went for New Year's Eve dinner. Not a good experience for a $320 meal. 1st course arrived before cocktails. Had to flag down restaurant personnel to refill water and ask for salt. Hair in mashed potatoes (sent back). No one ever asked how the meal was. Broccoli was bad quality or moldy. The John Dory fish was bland. Only positive was the Filet was well prepared. This is unfortunate, we recently moved to within a few minutes of this restaurant. Was hoping this could be a regular spot. Appears this restaurant is attempting to position itself as a high end establishment with unique ambience, superior service and food. Definitely not the experience we had. We will not return.

The NYE menu was very expensive , the food was mostly poor and had few choices, the table was lousy and our waiter was apathetic. AND there was a large gratuity added to the bill for all all of this. We left with a bill over $400 for two people! This for dried out fish that had obviously been sitting under heat lamps for hours and did not taste fresh, some poor lobster bisque that came with one crouton (no bread available) and cold lava cake we sent back only to have them microwave it to make warmer so was no longer “lava” cake. The best part of dinner was the $100 red blend wine, which was a bargain on their over marked up wine list. We did not call in advance to find out if it was a set menu as the information on Open Table for the menu did not say this would be the only option. Lesson learned. Due to all of these reasons, Next Bistro just lost my business permanently. I try to support local restaurants. However, not when they provide an experience like this. NYE was their time to shine and they failed miserably.

Don’t eat here go to the NEXT option…
(One star for surviving the experience.)

We waited over an hour for our food, which gave us plenty of time to reflect on our life choices—specifically, choosing to eat here.

The fish arrived smelling like a gynecologist’s office on a hot day, and it was downhill from there. Portions were so small I thought they were a tasting menu… until I realized we were being charged fine-dining prices.

The steak was so gristly I considered asking for dental floss instead of a steak knife. The chicken parm was truly a marvel: somehow the blandest thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, with the opposite of flavor. I didn’t know food could actively remove seasoning from your taste buds, but here we are.

The pork belly bites tasted like they were cooked in a cremation machine—dry, lifeless, and deeply unsettling.

Overall vibe: nursing home cafeteria, but make it expensive and pretentious.

Slow service, under-seasoned food, poor quality, and prices that suggest an ego far larger than the chef’s talent. Hands down the worst meal my family can collectively remember.

Untalented cooking. Greedy pricing.
Steer clear unless you enjoy disappointment with a garnish. 🍽️💀

Maude and Josh are the best of the best. They turned a business dinner into a culinary party.

I will be back. Wonderful lunch in a quiet, elegant setting. I am still dreaming about that watermelon salad.

If you want Thai / TX BBQ fusion innovation, this is your spot. Chef Ying has got a high level set of skills and a LOT of imagination. The flavors are aggressive - they can be overpowering. Her crispy duck is the best in the DFW. The soufflés are right out of a sidewalk bistro in Paris.

Greeting and hostess seating of our party was not up to our expectations. Hostess did not seem to know much about our reservations. We had a handicap person with us and got no help or assistance.
