Ohana Hawaiian BBQ&Poke

This place serves up the freshest, tastiest Hawaiian treats and standards like fried short ribs, butterfly fried shrimp, amazing salads with everything from spicy salmon sushi to delicious caviar. The service is quick, friendly and the place is spotlessly clean every time I go in for a meal. Highly recommended!

Nice owners but service was extremely slow and waited 30-40 mins for a basic beef bowl and 2 poke bowls. We were given a form to fill out if you wanted poke. It wasn’t followed at all. I didn’t bother to complain bc I was already hangry.

I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry plate and my husband ordered the BBQ Chicken & Seafood plate.

Both dishes lacked flavor tremendously. The chicken katsu was under cooked. Mac salad was literally just macaroni with mayonnaise on it. There was a gelatinous brown sauce service with the chicken bbq and seafood plate..literally like jello.

We both left very unsatisfied :(

Good food and goods vibes. The family that runs this place are always so friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. Wayyyyy better then Hawaiian bros hands down.

Food was terrible the chicken was dry no flavor the beef had more fat than meat and the lady at the counter rude no greeting or smile grab a paper menu and said nothing place sucks

Just bad service and no flavor in the bbq chicken or Mac salad. Sauce is cold and gelatinized. I hope I just came on a bad day. Plenty of other Hawaiian places nearby so I will not be returning.

Today I encountered blatant racism/discrimination for the first time in a long time. When I walked in the lady at the register just looked at me with a straight face. No “Hi”, no “Welcome, no smile or any greeting at all.

She grabbed a menu for me, opened it and turned it around towards me. So I looked at it and ordered 2 items. I was told 15-20 minutes.

About 5 minutes later a lady came in and was greeted with “Hi” and a smile by the same cashier who was just cold to me. I was shocked because she was a completely different person. The lady ordered and received her food before me.

5 minutes later another lady came in and was greeted with ”Hi” and a smile by the same cashier as well. She received her food before me too.

If you are Black or Brown AVOID THIS PLACE. They don’t want our business.

Our order was made incorrectly and when I told the owner they got upset and blamed me. Additionally the beef we received wasn’t beef but something else resembling pork. When we told them they got very upset at us and were rude, yelled and repeated beef beef over and over again and tossed the bucket of raw beef on the counter to try and show us we were wrong even though there was no beef in what we were shown. It did not taste good at all. The location was also dirty and not well kept. We have been to the location in Fort Worth and received very good quality service and food. We won’t eat here again.

I’ve been to a lot of Hawaiian places in DFW. Avoid this one. Everything lacked flavor. This was my BBQ sauce, it was the same consistency as Jello and they didn’t seem to care or give me a new one when I told them.

It smelled like they were smoking inside, the kalua pork was DRY and TASTELESS! Like they took a pork butt, and stuck it in the microwave! By stark contrast....the mac salad was dripping! Watery, but again tasteless. The short ribs were paper thin.....but they did have some flavor! The sauce i tasted with my finger was ok, but they stacked it on top of the container instead of inside, and the lid was off it , and it was spilled all over the inside of the bag......WHAT A MESS!!!! My husbands chicken tasted good. We split his piece of bbq chicken. What a waste of money! Definitely not a Hawaiian anywhere NEAR that place! We all stay WAY AWAY!!! Somebody warned us, but we chanced um anyway......MISTAKE!!!CAN'T RECOMMEND ANY DISHES!!!
