Old school 70's goodness! We always stop at Dairy Cone on the way to San Marcos. Never dissapoints! Frito pie always good along with Soft Serve Ice Cream and Burgers.

Really cool 50's style drive up. We raved over the cheeseburgers. Simple but perfect. Onion rings were super crispy. Staff was really friendly. No wonder this spot has been open so long.
Really wanted to like this place but sadly the food was just meh.
Pro Tips: 1) ✅ Curly fries - if you like Jack in the Box fries get these. They are seasoned well. 2) 🚫Onions rings - wouldn’t buy again. They look amazing in photos but were bland. 3) Burgers - they’re just okay. The way they are placed in the bag causes the bread to absorb moisture and like 1/4 of the bun was soggy. Not a huge deal jusy eat around it if you’re not in to that (like me). They were also just meh. Don’t expect too much flavor here even with all the toppings included. 4) Ice cream sundae - get it with regular ice cream. Don’t make the mistake of getting soft serve you end up with a puddle sundae if you can’t eat it fast enough (also like me lol 🥲)

Today was the very first time I was treated like a step child...I called in my order and the young lady said it would be about 10 minutes...I got there and 25 minutes later...still no burger and onions rings...I asked the lady at the window and she said they were bagging it...5 minutes later...STILL NO FOOD...thanks Dairy Cone...

If I could give them more stars, I would. We stumbled upon this little hidden gem whilst traveling, and boy am I glad we stopped.
I don't know if the customer service or the food was better, honestly! We ordered the frito pie, two burgers, onion rings, and curly fries, and none disappointed. Everything was fresh and made with care.
Our new reason to come back to this small town with old school, southern hospitality!!!
