I found this gem when I googled places to eat in Columbus. I am local but had not a clue they were there. Felt like hitting the food lottery. Brisket melted in my mouth! Buttered potatoes were actually “buttered” potatoes! Green beans were outstanding. This is definitely a new regular for me and my family. It’s really hard to find good bbq. Even harder to find people that actually bbq for real. So many call themselves bbq but it is actually made in an oven. Not at Woods...
This place is a hidden gem for sure! I've been following Woods BBQ for several months on social media before getting to try the BBQ. Let me tell you this place didn't disappoint. We got a pound of all the meats and sides of cabbage, Mac N Cheese, and green beans. All of the food was fantastic. Will definitely be returning when we come back to Columbus.
I was traveling with my sister and we just happened to see the sign on the side of the road. We actually passed it up about eight miles and we decided to come back to give it a try. We pulled up and saw it connected to a gas station but saw a few people walking out. Glad we did because the food was great! This is my new spot when traveling to San Antonio from Houston!
