I always try to support local businesses whenever possible but won't be returning to this one. there are several other local, options to check out that are likely to be much better. The server was not welcoming and seemed uninterested although there was only one other table in the restaurant. The chicken fried steak was rubbery and the breading had no flavor. The gravy tasted of uncooked flour but otherwise had no flavor. I try chicken fried steak whenever I go out for breakfast, and have had in many places across the US but this was some of the worst I've experienced.

Difficult to get in the building due to rotten boards. Had to place my order twice, it wasn't right either time. They comped the meal (cause I didn't eat it), but then charged me for a sofa I didn't order. Wouldn't go here again.

Came in after visiting Ladonia Fossil Park. Came in an hour before closing. Staff was super nice, the food was good, and the prices were fair. I would certainly go again if we lived closer.
Kid-friendliness: Came in with a 4yo and a 10yo. They food options were perfect for both of them and the portions were spot on.
The food is excellent and the staff are very kind and helpful when needed. The place has a great atmosphere and I believe everyone in commerce should know the name McKay's country kitchen because it is truly extraordinary food especially bill's mega omelette. I noticed there weren't pictures online of the menu so here are some for everyone to enjoy and hopefully be the reason at least one person reading this decides to try McKay's wonderful food.

My wife and I went there for breakfast this morning and the portions are huge -- be sure to go there hungry!I ordered the fully-loaded large (aka 2 egg) omelet and hash browns and my wife ordered the eggs, bacon & biscuits with a bowl of gravy. Food was good, served warm and with a smile.Great place to go for breakfast!
