My wife and I went there for breakfast this morning and the portions are huge -- be sure to go there hungry!I ordered the fully-loaded large (aka 2 egg) omelet and hash browns and my wife ordered the eggs, bacon & biscuits with a bowl of gravy. Food was good, served warm and with a smile.Great place to go for breakfast!

I ordered scrambled eggs, and they just gave me over hard eggs instead. The pork chops were also overcooked. The hashbrown patty that I got (even though I asked for the cottage fries) was pretty good. The pancakes were also pretty good. However, the service was really, really slow, and they also didn't ask me or the person I came with if we wanted refills. Not to mention the wait time as well, we waited around 30 something minutes to get our food. We got our food, and then the person I came with realized that their omelette didn't come with the side of toast. This confused both of us because, well, in the picture AND in the menu, it said that it comes with a side of toast. When we had a chance to ask the server, she said we had to ASK for the side of toast. Asking for a side that the menu says it already comes with, yup, that sounds amazing. It's like having to ask for fries in a burger combo, but either way, whether they gave you them or not, paying for them. Point is, this place sucks, don't come here.

My experience at this place was incredibly disappointing. Where do I even begin?Firstly, the wait time was absolutely absurd - over 30 minutes for just two people, despite there being only a few other tables occupied, all of whom had already been served. It's baffling that we had to wait so long when the restaurant wasn't even busy.To make matters worse, when our food finally arrived, it wasn't even complete. It's ridiculous that I had to request the sides that were supposed to come with my meal. When a menu states that a dish comes with certain sides, you expect them to be included without having to ask.The service was equally dismal. Despite my drink running out long before our food arrived, not once did our server check on us or offer a refill. Instead, she seemed more interested in chatting with the cook than attending to customers. The only positive aspect was that the food, albeit incomplete, was decent enough to finish. However, even that couldn't salvage the overall experience. As a Hispanic customer, I hesitate to attribute this to racism, but the incompetence displayed was undeniable.TLDR: I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The poor service, excessive wait times, and incomplete orders make it clear that they have a long way to go in terms of customer satisfaction.

We use to love Mckays but things have definitely changed. I ordered an all meat omelet a couple weeks ago. Suppose to have ham bacon and sausage (i did omit the sausage). Omelet was very small and i couldn't find but a few tiny pieces of meat in it. Most definitely not worth the $. I figured it was just an “off” day for the cook. Hubby and i gave them another try yesterday and again, absolute disappointment. My cfs was very tough and had consistency of being warmed up in the microwave. I did realize this time, red flag, that it was noon and only 2 other people were in there eating. Its NEVER been that empty at lunchtime in the past. So sadly i suppose others are catching on.I do hate to see a family owned restaurant fail in our small town, especially after such success with the previous owners. Hopefully some changes can be made before its too late.

McKay’s is my go-to restaurant in Commerce. I like the menu variety and that I can eat a healthy balanced meal or indulge in a good burger with fries. The small town atmosphere, friendly owners & staff have made me a regular.

This place isn't as good as it was before it was sold, and even then it was just "ok". first off, the menu... its a hog podge of items and pricing all scattered, not your typical menu but just ridiculous to order from. My sausage gravy tasted like soap.. the biscuits were sweet and there was barely any gravy on my full order of B & G. My 2 young girls got cheese on their scrambled eggs and it looked like imitation cheese. My bacon, looked like instant bacon from sams club or costco just dry and flat and appeared microwaved. The food was just bad. I also noticed there was a really long wait for meals. There were 3 staff working.. one waitress one cook who was an older gentlemen and a young boy who appeared to be his go get it guy. And on top of that, he was cooking one tables meal at a time. That's not how you run an efficient kitchen in my experience. It seems like someone bought the place with zero knowledge of how to run a restaurant. In the end.. I would avoid this place. Omegas blows them away. Hell, McDonald's beats them & I loath McDonald's. I hope this helps someone.

This place is horrible!!! Took 30 mins and 3 times for them to just get drinks. They spent so much money on the cash register and handheld wireless iPads to take orders instead updated the restaurant, 1970's grandma called she wants her decor back. The food for what it is, is extremely expensive! 9.99 for a one egg omelette, hell eggs aren't that expensive anymore! They need some real cooks, the ones they have can't even cook an egg correctly and eggs are the easiest to cook! How do you bring out pancakes, French toast and grits with NO butter?! Then when you ask, it takes 15 mins and I got half a tbsp. The biscuits weren't even cooked all the way! The French toast were cooked too fast and came out mushy and slimy! When we asked for a check the lady treated me like I asked to borrow her car, and wanted my CC, I'm like are you high? My family and I will never be back. One last thing, how can they serve BBQ and never sell BBQ?

I went in this morning to get breakfast. The lady serving me was wonderful, but I asked for eggs over medium. The eggs were raw enough to hatch. I paid and left without eating. I am not happy with the cook, and will not be going back.
