Hopefully just an off day or because I didn't get there until 2:45pm. Brisket had very little smoke flavor, was extremely dry (obviously the flat is always a little dryer than the point but this was way overdone) the sausage was just typical sausage, the ribs were extremely tough and had zero bark to them. Almost like they had been sitting out all day. I don't write many bad reviews but this was shocking to me after seeing what the other reviews said. I will give them another shot on another day closer to actual lunch time to see if the quality is different. If so I will amend this review.

My husband and I have been traveling the last few days, ate fancy restaurants, to us at least, like Texas Roadhouse and some Italian spot. This place was the best thing we've had in weeks. The food was just out of this world amazing. The flavors work and the bbq has that smokey taste you crave for when you eat it. I've tried many bbq places around this area, and this is by far my favorite, just for the food alone. The service was also great and they even bring the food to the table for you.If my husband or I ever want bbq, this is where we are going, and I would highly recommend you give it a shot too.

I have been wanting to try this establishment for quite some time, and all I can say about that is the wait was worth it. When I walked in it felt a little bare, but hey they've only been at that location for a little while, so I get it.My initial response was hard to forget. Good music going and the aroma was awsome. I was greeted as soon as I was noticed (very quickly), and when I said it's my first time here the lady at the register was very helpful and kind. I was offered several free samples, and was not let down.I left the place feeling like I was appreciated and like I got a fantastic value. I only have two very minor things that I'm sure are being worked on that are not just great. 1. Not easily noticed from the road. A better sign would do wonders. 2. Decor could use a personalized touch. Other than that, the food is great, there's original items worth trying on the menus, service is great, food and sauces are great, and the staff are great!Try this place! For me it was worth every penny. You'll be back for more.

I didnt know they were at this location, found them in the google reviews. REALLY GOOD BBQ! I took abunch home..ribs ,chopped beef,cowboy beans,fried okra,cabbage,potato salad all extremely tender, melt in your mouth..theyve got in house dining, the staff are pleasant and very customer oriented, the place is very clean...id say 5 stars!

Exactly what you’d hope for in a small town restaurant. Amazing food, great service, and awesome conversation. They are in a new spot next to a gas station near the original location. No above building sign yet.We stopped here after our trip to Cooper Lake State Park. Brisket was fantastic. My wife is trying to reverse engineer the fried cabbage to make at home. The beans were great as well. Plenty of gluten free choices if you need them. Corn pudding was a nice treat. We ended up taking a pound of brisket home with several sides.This is the type of place where you feel good spending your money to help a local business. It was mentioned they are BYOB. If you’re going to BYOB, just double check by calling. They do run out of stuff so don’t be too late.It was so good, I forgot to take pictures of the food. ?
Stopped in while visiting Cooper Lake State Park . The brisket, the jalapeño sausage, the coleslaw, the cabbage, and the service were amazing. I even loved the sauce (which the meat didn’t need but…) I highly recommend this restaurant- you will not be disappointed!

HD the chopped brisket one evening and it was close to the best I'd ever had. Tried the slice brisket two days later and it wasn't even half as good. Sides were excellent. Great service with a smile. Will give another try.

We found this by googling bbq near me and are we glad! Delicious bbq with great smoked flavor. The sauce is a little on the sweet side and I loved it but the bbq ribs were so tender and good Bob didn’t use the sauce. Very friendly staff! The stuffed jalapeño is unbelievable. Huge jalapeño stuffed with bbq topped with a cream cheese. Our first time here but will not be our last!
