Very fast and friendly service and very affordable.
Excellent food and great service. I have been eating here off and on for several years and have yet to be disappointed with any part or portion of the dining experience.
The tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and nachos are some of the best in the area.
As a firm believer in giving every restaurant at least one fair shot, I recently found myself at Anita’s, eager to see what this restaurant has in store for us. The experience began on a positive note—zero wait time, and we were promptly seated, a rare treat during peak hours.
We kicked things off with the traditional chips and salsa, and I must say, they were the highlight of the evening. Crisp, warm chips paired with a vibrant, well-balanced salsa that had just the right touch of heat and freshness—it was so good, I had to pace myself for fear of spoiling my appetite before the entrées even arrived.
For my main, I opted for the flautas meal, while my wife went with the chimichanga plate. Oddly enough, both dishes arrived looking nearly identical, which was a bit of a letdown. The flautas were decent, but didn’t quite sing. They lacked the distinct flavor layers I typically look for. The chimichanga shared a similar fate—serviceable, but not memorable.
To the restaurant’s credit, our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. While the food didn’t quite meet expectations, that chips-and-salsa opener may just lure me back for a second visit—though it might not be anytime soon.
Final verdict: Stellar service and a strong start with the appetizers, but the main dishes left something to be desired. Anita’s has potential, but the kitchen needs to fine-tune its flavors and presentation to match the warmth of the hospitality.
Hidden gem in Conroe!!!
Good food at a good price.
So very helpful for flex few thank you!!!! Xoxox
I came here to get breakfast tacos Togo, loved them so much and the salsa I brought my boyfriend for dinner! Great prices and amazing food!!
An average Tex Mex dining experience. The queso from the appetizer menu tasted like warmed-up Velveeta.
The flavors were good. Not great. The chicken in the Burro Loco burrito was dry. The sauces and fresh chips were a nice touch. My colleagues got tacos and enchiladas which looked okay too and they said it was good.
The serve’s were smiling while they worked and were attentive.
The restaurant was clean, large open space and inviting.
There is a large parking lot out front.
Note my rating system:

Once again I’m here at Anita’s Mexican restaurant the food is amazing I love it so much I’m definitely coming next week.
We tried this place out with our family. The food was good at a reasonable price. They had large portions that fill you up. The service was just okay. The waitress did not fill up my tea or offer more chips or dip. This place is definitely worth checking out though just for the food.
