Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Went to Cheddar's last night for my granddaughters birthday. She had called on Friday to reserve for 18 people at 6:30. Gave them her name and phone number. Got there and was told they had tried to call her to confirm, got no answer so they had canceled. They had taken her number down wrong. But they said they could seat us in about 30 minutes. About 35 minutes and they said they were ready for us. We all got seated and we're advised they were out of their croissants. When taking our food order we were told they were out of their pot pies and Monte Cristo sandwiches. About 20 minutes after food orders were taken our waitress, Shantelle, came out and told us they were out of the child's hamburgers and that they couldn't substitute it with a regular size hamburger. So something else was ordered. Food started coming out and those of us that had ordered their broccoli cheese casserole had a different side. We were told that apparently they were out of the casserole so a different side had been substituted, without asking us what we wanted. Then Shantelle came out and told the birthday girl that normally they would bring her a dessert with candles but they were out of the dessert. I don't know what they normally bring out for birthdays but I doubt they were out of every dessert they carried, so apparently they weren't willing to substitute with something else. I have never been to a restaurant that was out of so many items and unwilling, and obviously didn't care, to work with us. I will say that our waitress, Shantelle, was great. Not only did she have to work with a large table, but had to keep telling us half of what we wanted to order was not available. We will NOT be going back to Cheddar's.

Stopped in last night after THE most stressful day ever & the home cooking hit. the. spot. Highly recommend the chicken fried chicken (HUGE portions!! Like you could totally split this between 2 people & the double is only $2 more than the regular) and the spinach dip! Everything is very reasonably priced, especially considering how everything has gone up these days.

If you like sweet tea, expect to need to add a little bit more sugar but that’s already on the table so - no harm, no foul ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Very clean restrooms too!

Reminded me how much I like this place & we will definitely be back!

I want to place an order to go and they are put me in hold for more than 10 min and nobody came back to me so I call back again and I talk to the sane lady and this time I request to speak to a manager she put me in hold again for more than 5 min and after that I was so frustrated there I hang up the call .. what a shame cause am been eating with this franchise for more than a decade and today I feel so DISAPPOINTED.. the customer service was the most unprofessional ever been … choosing me to move on and tried another restaurant…. So cheddars I will never go back to spend my time and money with you’ll…. So sad you just lost another unsatisfied customer…..

We went to have dinner here tonight and it was the worst experience ever. We got a waitress that was rude. Our food was cold. Asked for the spinach dip and it was dry and was told there was no more salsa. She was long in coming to check if we needed anything. $100 spent on bad food and service. Will not go back again.

Service is always great. The food is good (great for the type of eatery), but not top notch. Their mango tea with the orange slice is delicious. There is always a good mix of patrons and I've never seen subpar service.

Came to the location in Conroe tonight. I had the filet. I asked for medium rare but it was totally raw inside. Outside was covered in entirely too much pepper and a little burnt but the inside was cold and raw. I did not send it back but was afraid, it just makes cooks mad. I am very disappointed.

Order was wrong multiple times, steak was seasoned super heavy to the point it inedible. waitress was nice but barely came by. Don't think we will be back.

Everything was perfect. Hot ,fresh ,quick and friendly. And the prices keep you coming back. I can't think of any bad to say , so I won't say anything. Will definitely be back and make it a regular place from this point forward

I don’t typically leave bad reviews, but this visit to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen was truly disappointing. The food came out cold — not just warm or room temperature, but actually cold — and had to be sent back multiple times. After the third attempt, we were completely over it. This was something that could have easily been avoided with a little more care in the kitchen. Our waiter was terrific and did everything he could, but the manager and cooks really dropped the ball. All three meals (in our party at our table) — chicken, fries, potatoes, you name it — were cold from the start. We could overhear other tables stating the same thing. Even a waitress in the distance was overheard telling her table this was a running theme, that a lot of people had been sending food back lately stating their food was cold or undercooked. Definitely not the experience we expected. And will not be going back.
