On November 3, 2024 around 6:35 PM I called to make an order for Pick Up but was told that I couldn’t because she’s about to close at 7pm mind you i called around 6:35pm. She’s about to close the store but the website/google/maps says the store closes at 8 PM while on the phone she was so eager to get off the phone and go about her day. there was 25 more minutes left and she could’ve made my order or do something. there was no remorse, no compassionate, nor good customer service. This is unfair and unacceptable definitely not how you run a business. This is not the first time I’m having an issue, please consider ways of improvement especially with how employees talk to customers pick up phone.

Was excited about another African food location in Conroe. Finally got to visit today. Food tasted okay ✅. Customer service could be better: felt weird that after paying , the lady turned around and was walking away then asked me to remove the receipt myself when it’s done printing, like what? ?.

My old roommate was Nigerian and an EXCELLENT cook! so... i crave African food every now and then and especially the fufu, moimoi and jollof rice! So... seeing that they had all those options on the menu, i went crazy and got it all! i got the jollof rice with dark meat chicken as the protein option. lemme tell you something...Flavor galore! The beef in the stew for the fufu, the chicken...sooooo tender and flavorful! Everything was so delicious and well seasoned and hot! i sent this photo to my old roommate which made her hungry ? Also, while waiting and eating they had worship music playing over the space which was really comforting and warm. i really appreciated that loving touch and i could tell that they cook with a ton of love! The space was also very very clean, bright and spacious. Will absolutely 100% be back another time and when my old roommate comes to visit me in Texas, will definitely take her there to try it out!

Clean restaurant, friendly helpful staff, the food was made to order, authentic, hot, fresh, with generous portions. There are tvs along the walls that are playing african music/ music videos and also news. There's a greenery wall with a "chop it up" sign for selfie opportunities while you visit.

This was some of the worst food I have ever had. The taste was just horrible way way too much seasoning. And not only that after I ate the food it gave me food poisoning I was throwing up all that nasty food with fever worst food ever! Each plate by the way is about 20-30

If you haven’t eaten here, I believe you are missing out. Let me tell a quick story. I ordered Jollof rice from here, hoping to eat it when I got home. The aroma of the rice alone I couldn’t resist. So I tried it, and gbam… na so I see myself wearing agbada for an owambe party with a cold drink and live band. I was transported to the party life of Lagos. No jokes, back to reality, the food didn’t reach the house. I finished it in the car. I’m glad I bought soups and aganyin beans that I can’t wait to eat. Chop Nation is the place to be in Conroe. #chopislife

Quite honestly, it was the worst food I've ever had. This is my first time having African food, so I'm not sure if this is a great representation of the taste.I ordered the Asun, and spicy tomato stew (chicken). The Asun (goat) had a offputting taste and smell. I'm quite used to eating goat, so I'm familiar with the taste. I couldn't get past the smell to honestly give it more than two bites. Almost smelled rancid. Now about the spicy tomato stew. The stew itself tasted great. However, i would have preferred it to be spicier. The saddest part about this dish was the rock-hard chicken. There was no way this chicken was cooked today unless they left it out all day. You would think.. being this is a stew the chicken would fall off the bone or at least be tender. Felt like stew with beef jerky.Another downside was how difficult it is for them to complete the order through doordash. My first attempt failed, the order went through but it never got past the first step, had to reach out to doordash support who called them and stated they were closed. I placed the order 45min prior to the time they take their last doordash order.2nd attempt, the order was placed through doordash, again it stayed on the first step for 30min. At that point, i reached out to doordash again. Doordash contacted Chop Nation and confirmed my order was placed and stated they're working on getting it cooked.Took about 1hr 30min to get the food. For it to taste like it was left out to dry age for a month.
