WARNING***They have a drink limit here. 2 drinks, 2 shot limit. I have NEVER in my life ever been cut off ANYWHERE! My husband had 2 beer and I had 2 drinks and we had a Skittles shot each, which is VERY MILD and when we ordered another shot each of SKITTLES. WE were told then of this limit. NOOO reason at all for it other than THERE LAW OF LIMIT. I CALL BS ON THIS . JUST LETTING EVERYONE KNOW BEFORE YOU VISIT AND END UP LIKE US AND HAVING TO GO ELSEWHERE TO ENJOY OUR NIGHT. THIS SHOULD BE ON THERE WEBSITE AND UPFRONT. WE WOULDNT HAVE BOTHERED TO VISIT THIS PLACE HAD WE KNOWN. FYI The margaritas are NOT the good tbh. Go for the twister, its much better.

Great food but, this is a very busy restaurant. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table and the waitress was average in timing and speed of service. There are many Mexican restaurants in the area. That being said, I will probably not dine here again unless I am invited with another party. It's just too loud and crowded for my liking.

It’s a great place to take the family. They have wonderful chips and salsa. The service was excellent, we were on the waitlist and still had to wait about 20 minutes.but it was worth it.

If you order Nachos Togo or to be delivered. Order the chips to be put in its own container separate from the toppings. I forgot to do this and even though the queso comes on the side, my chips were so soggy that it ruined the nachos. Something about a limp chip just makes it taste bad. Scrapped the toppings off and added my own chips, the toppings and the queso! Now it tastes amazing!!
Enjoy, bon appetite!

Totally under staffed. We had great food n but no attention to our group until payment. Hire more support staff. I tip big when I feel like a restaurant wanted my table to have fun.

We stopped at Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen on our way back to Dallas because it looked great from the road and had solid reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to that.
We sat at the bar and were not greeted warmly — it honestly felt more like “why are you sitting here?” than “welcome in.” Not a great start.
The house margarita was a huge letdown. It tasted like straight sweet-and-sour mix — almost like Kool-Aid made from margarita mix. It had that overly sugary, slightly off taste, like the mix wasn’t fresh. It was flat and one-dimensional. When we said something, the bartender did remake them and they were better, which we appreciated. But he also admitted that the house margarita isn’t their best and gets sent back often. That left us wondering — if it’s known to be bad, why keep serving it?
Service overall lacked urgency and hospitality. We were given one napkin between the two of us and had to ask for waters after our drinks were brought out. I asked for salsa with extra cilantro and never received it. We ordered a cup of queso to start and it was completely forgotten — no apology, no acknowledgment. We repeatedly had to flag someone down for basic follow-ups and silverware.
I’ve been a server for years and understand being busy. But hospitality means checking back, anticipating needs, and fixing mistakes without guests having to chase you down. That didn’t happen here. The staff felt slow and disengaged, and we consistently felt like an afterthought.
As for the food — it was very basic Tex-Mex. I work at a Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas, so I came in expecting bold, layered flavor. Instead, everything was under-seasoned and lacked depth. Nothing stood out.
The restaurant looks nice and has potential, but between the weak house margarita, forgotten items, and inattentive service, it wasn’t worth the stop for us.
