Gringo's Mexican Kitchen {Conroe}

First time here since they opened. Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. I was not impressed with the customer service at all. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the bar tender.

Service was slow and disorganized. When I asked to speak to the manager, I felt like they brushed me off and didn’t even try to fix anything. Totally unprofessional management.

Arrived before the dinner rush, drinks took 15 minutes to arrive to the point where the server had already come by and taken our dinner order a full 5 minutes before the drinks arrived. The food arrived 3 minutes after the drinks. When they did arrive, they were either poorly made or not what was ordered. Ordered a “Cadillac” margarita on the rocks, was given a frozen one that tasted like it was from a machine. Wife ordered a flavored one, which was a generic machine mix with a bunch of flavored syrup poured over it. She had to try to mix it with a straw. Was so sweet and syrupy she barely could finish 10% of it. Server shrugged when mentioned how overly sweet it was. The acoustics in the restaurant were so bad, with so many echoes that the servers could not hear us and we could not hear each other. We could not wait to get out of there after finishing our last bite. Was one of our favorite places at the one down by FM1960, but we won’t be back to this one. I can get half-assed service and poorly made drinks anywhere. Bright spot was the kitchen was fast, accurate, and hot.

I walked into Gringo’s expecting just another dinner — maybe a few tacos, maybe a margarita — but what I experienced was nothing short of rebirth.

My server, Mason, didn’t just bring food; he delivered enlightenment on a platter. Every recommendation felt like a whisper from the heavens. When the chips and salsa hit the table, I swear I saw the universe unfold in front of me. Each bite transported me further from the ordinary and closer to a higher plane of flavor.

The main course? Transcendent. The seasoning, the warmth, the balance — it was as if my taste buds had been asleep their whole lives and Mason gently woke them, saying, “It’s time to live again.”

By the time dessert arrived, I wasn’t the same person who had walked in. I was reborn — baptized in queso, renewed by fajitas, and guided to the light by the most genuine, attentive server I’ve ever met.

If you’ve never had a meal that made you believe again, let Mason and the team at Gringo’s be your awakening. 🌮🔥

This place is absolutely amazing!!!! I've never had such fantastic food like this and I plan to go back ASAP. The wait staff is incredible and atmosphere is amazing!!! 10 stars for this restraunt!!!!

Had the Shrimp Emenadas and Fajitas, both were very tasty and filling. Our server Troy was very attentive and had us taken care of our entire time. Will definitely be returning!

Where from the Dallas-Fort Worth area but anytime we are in town we make sure to stop here, the food is fantastic and the Margaritas are on point
