I live close to here so I’ve been here a handful of times. I’m always disappointed. The food is not good simple as that. I could get over that if the margaritas were spectacular but they’re worse. They taste like cheap tequila and the balance of sweet to sour to liquor is never harmonious. I’ll drive 15 minutes down the road to go to Julio’s instead. The pros to Herreras are the staff. They are great and attentive. The outside patio is nice.

It’s my first time stopping in, and honestly I’m just killing time before a hair appointment two doors down. $7.95 jumbo frozen margaritas are the special, so I’m having that and some queso blanco. Both are good but what’s really impressing me is the cleanliness. I’m sitting at the bar, the state of which can tell you a LOT about how clean a restaurant really is, and it’s spotless. No dust, no streaky surfaces or cloudy, sticky old bottles. Even their reach-in cooler and everything in it is clean as a whistle. And those things don’t lie, man - the light is BRIGHT and if it’s gross in there you can’t miss it. So yeah, I’ll plan my next haircut around lunchtime so I can try some of their delicious-looking entrees.

My favorite place to visit. The staff is always smiling and in good spirits. The food is excellent and there is a variety of dishes to choose from. The atmosphere is nostalgic and reminds me of the Tex Mex Cafe my family would frequent when I was a little girl.Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian options- ones I have tired are the mushroom and spinach enchiladas.Parking: Plenty of parking- the restaurant is in an old Randell's building.Wheelchair accessibility: Several spots by the door.

The best! Great people taking care of you here always. The margaritas hit the spot along with the chips and homemade salsa! The dishes are super fresh and don’t break the bank. You feel at home here and it’s been a staple to come with family. Love the bar area and sitting on the patio every season. ?

Honestly this is the weirdest Mexican food I've had in Houston yetThe refried beans were so pale they looked like baby barf or worse.Fortunately they tasted better than they looked. The salsa was too sweet for me. And the chicken enchiladas were bland. The crunchy beef taco was pretty good with the spicy salsa added.Margarita was strong and pretty yummy tho.I wouldn't go back here to eat

I have not been there for a long time and suggested to a gentleman friend who likes Tamales! I was disappointed as soon as we were seated in the back with lots of people and noise! We changed our seats to the front! I then ordered a Margarita top shelf which was tasteless !The salsa was very watery and the chili con queso was thin! Neither of our entrees had much taste to them ! No seasoning! I was extremely disappointed
