I must say that this is the first time I've been disappointed in Hippo Burger. Myself and my wife went thru the drive thru yesterday 30 October 2025. We ordered one double meat hippo burger, one double meat hippo cheese burger and two orders of fries (what can I say we were very hungry). We asked that the fries not have any salt on them because we are senior citizens and don't need the extra salt. Got home and the fries were perfect like always, but the burgers had so much salt on them we couldn't finish them. Was a waste of good money on what is normally our very favorite burgers. The disappointment is very bad.

This place is a solid spot in Conroe up there with the other local spots for sure. Cajun fries are the ones to get. Sweet buns are meant to be eaten fast fyi.

First off prices shown on drive thru board did not match at check out. Cheeseburger showed 8.99 actual price at check out was 9.09. Our order consisted of a cheeseburger combo 14.99 with sweet potato fries in place of regular fries and was charged 1.25 extra for those. And a cheeseburger( just the sandwich) 9.09 , with 2.09 tax, bringing the total to 27.42. Outrageous price for subpar tasteless burgers and burnt soft floppy sweet potatoe fries (like they had been cooked and then reheated). Best thing about this burger is the bun. However, the bun in no way justified the price on this meal.

Stopped here looking for a good burger and I was extremely happy that I did! The service was amazing and I was greeted upon entering, but best of all I wasn't rushed as I checked out the menu - since it was my first time here.
The burger was fresh with quality ingredients and I couldnt finish my entire meal because there was so much food!
If you are hungry and want a great burger, give them a try.

Biggest juicyest delicious burgers ever my first time I went to the one in Conroe pass by the place all the time never thought to stop big name burger joints they've all lost something into me everything is about money not quality any more based on the name a friend decided let's try Hippo Burger and low and behold WOW😲, THE FLAVOR WAS UNBELIEVABLE now I know everybody's tongue has a specific tastes but you must try this burger if you like a lot more meat than bread,🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 5 thumbs up for Hippo Burger 😎 I went through the drive-thru can I tell you what type of seating or environment was
