Mr Taco & Tequila Bar

Great food I eat there twice a week for lunch. They are affordable and the Margaritas are the best.

UPDATE 10/2025: Still ordering at Mr Taco on a regular basis. Food is always plentiful and delicious. Breakfast tacos are large and tasty. (We LOVE the Chorizo & Egg). Chips are hot, thin and crispy. Beef Fajitas have been nice and tender, charro beans are yummy too... and OHHHH I LOVE THAT AVOCADO RANCH SALSA! I could drink that stuff!!!

We had a wonderful meal that arrived so fast via DoorDash! Sizzling Fajitas; Camarones Diablos and Queso with chips. Everything was fresh and delicious. Hubby wished the fajitas had a little more meat. Was pleasantly surprised that the Shrimp came with 6 as pictured on Doordash (instead of 4 as listed). The bacon-wrapped jumbo Shrimp were large and cooked to perfection. Charro beans arrived steaming hot and were good too. Chips/Red Salsa/Queso were spot on. Very happy we decided to try them again!

Very disappointed today. Have been getting breakfast to-go here many times since the March 2021. Each time the sauce orders were not correct (each time we get something different and not what is asked for) and the portion sizes have shrunk drastically. We ordered 6 Chorizo and Egg breakfast tacos and 2 Barbacoa breakfast tacos. I requested the onions and cilantro on the side for the Barbacoa. I forgot to ask for Flour tortillas but was never asked like usual. Also requested a large Green Salsa (the creamy one) and a large Red Salsa. She repeated all of the order back to me and I confirmed. Hubby gets home and has 3 tiny green sauces and one tiny habanero. No red salsa. I wondered what the little box was for. It was 2 tiny street taco barbacoa with tons of onion and a little cilantro piled on top. OooooK. The chorizo and egg tacos were half as full as they used to be. (Comparison in pic.) When rolled up they looked like a taquito - not a taco. The tortillas were thinner too. Today left me hangry. I know some of you foodies will ask... Did you call and ask for a manager? No. What's done is done and I am not looking for an apology or a free meal. Just a correct one.

I hope this is not going to become the norm here, as I really like the the taste of their food. I try to give places a couple of tries before writing them off. Hopefully they will see this and correct the issues.

The outside is nothing special and actually pretty bland. Could probably use a little bit of updating
The service was wonderful. Everyone was very attentive

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food was borderline inedible, the drinks were a joke, and the service was apathetic at best. The atmosphere felt more like a rundown dive than a restaurant worth stepping into. I genuinely don’t understand how this place has 4.6 stars—either people have no taste or the reviews are padded. Mr Taco and Tequila Bar is a disaster. Avoid it like the plague.
