"We don’t do rallies, we make beer for people who like beer."What these words mean...."We here at Southern Star Brewing are so open-minded, tolerant, and magnanimous that we don't allow people to speak freely about what they believe, especially if we disagree with it! After all, we make beer for people who don't mind being censored or censoring others!!!! Beer making, and the simple-minded people who love it more than their freedom to speak about the values they hold dear, is FAR more important that my rights, your rights, or anyone's rights!!! We made a contract, a promise if you will, and we feel that in the name of political bigotry and censorship we should break that promise and cancel all events at our venue that we could possibly potentially disagree with - beginning, of course, with one event in particular!!! We won't tell you what that event is, because that would make us look bad, especially to the mainstream political demographic in rural Texas, who we despise. Thank you for buying our beer! And here we have a paper copy of the Constitution and Bill of Rights that you can throw darts at while joyfully drinking our beer!!! Wouldn't that be FUN!!!! (Nobody takes those documents seriously these day, anyway!!!)

I scheduled the tap room for an event in June 2024 and now I heard the tap room is closed for renovations. I can't get in touch with anyone. The voice mail box is full. I need to speak with them immediately to find out what is going on to make alternative arrangements.

I will do 2 stars because the beer is decent. This place has been my go to place for years. I've made some of my closest friends there and have always been treated like family. It had become clear that new leadership does not care about family and I will not be returning if they reopen.

We had our wedding welcome party at Southern Star Brewing on 11/03/2023 and it was a great time! Keith went over and beyond. He was responsive and reached out voluntarily to make sure everything was in order. He also made sure everyone had a great time. If I have another event in the future, I will definitely be booking with Southern Star.

I've been going to this place for many years and still enjoy every visit. It seems that they add more beer varieties which makes it more interesting each visit. Plus they add more events and food vendors every year. I recommend this brewery for those that enjoy delicious cold craft beer.

These folks used to be so cool. Such a shame what they've turned into. Was buying their beers since they opened up on FM 3083 and turned so many people on to them. Now none of us buy it. We vote with our wallets and can no longer support this brewery. Now we're strictly a Shiner group. Adios, Southern Star. Y'all should probably get a new social media person - they like to block accounts that ask questions.
