I've given this place multiple chances, but the customer service is consistently rude by the old lady which is the owner. They've overcharged me more than once and don't always give exact change back. On top of that, they refused to sell me just one donut which was for my little daughter -- which makes no sense for a donut shop. It's disappointing but the attitude and shady practices I don't recommend anyone coming here.

Donuts are ok. Nothing special, not bad, either. The kolaches are about 90% bread and air, though. They don’t have all the donuts when they open (usually by around 6–I even went there at 4:30 one day and they had zero donuts yet, but the case was full of kolaches, so those obviously aren’t fresh) and it feels like you’re inconveniencing the female owner by getting food there. It’s fine in a pinch. Just don’t expect good service or kolaches, because this is not the place for either.
And bring cash, because nothing pisses her off like credit cards.

Poor Customer Service I just went in with my two year-old grandbaby, purchased a sprinkled doughnut only for the lady at the counter to snatch the bag out of his hand saying that I needed to buy more because they had a seven dollar minimal really that would not have been a problem so I walked out happy to take my money to Shipley’s. If you’re looking for gray Customer Service don’t come here cause she is rude

If you haven't tried these doughnuts yet, you're missing out. These are the fluffiest, most moist, and delicious doughnuts I've ever tried. Can't beat her prices either. $1 a doughnut. Nothing comes close, and I've tried so many places already, and every time I do, I feel like I am being unfaithful to my sunrise Donuts and I immediately regret it because they are just incomparable.

I have been coming here occasionally the last couple years as I don’t eat donuts often. I’m very pregnant right now and decided my 16 month old daughter and I would share a sweet treat. I walked in this morning and I asked for one donut. The woman asked if I had cash and I said yes. She said “$1.10” and I started pulling the money out of my wallet, when she proceeded to say “two donuts?” I declined the second donut and clarified I just wanted one donut and started to put the money towards her. She put a second donut in the bag and told me “$2.20” and I looked at her and said “no, thank you. Just one donut.” She then threw both maple donuts back into the display case and rudely said “no” to me and walked to the back. She did not come back up front and did NOT give me the donut for my daughter and I to share.
This is extremely frustrating as we try to limit our sweets/sugar and it was a fun morning surprise for my daughter. How disturbing to be treated this way and for my little girl to witness it. We will drive further for better service. Sunrise has lost my business.
Ma’am, please do better. Kids deserve to see kindness in the world.

Don't ever go to this donut shop, asked for one glazed donut kolache and the lady yelled and said the sausage was on the top shelf and then gave me 2 chocolate donuts, which I didn't ask for, and wouldn't help me when I said you gave me the wrong donuts.

This place will scam you. Employees are extremely rude and double charging seems to happen constantly to people. They are doing it on purpose and will scream at you if you try to get a refund for being charged twice. Avoid this place! Guaranteed to ruin your morning.
They know how to turn a 20 dollar order in to a 40 dollar order. Not because they're good, no, but because they double charge.(VERY OFTEN read the reviews) Its easier getting through the airport during the holidays than letting them know you've been robbed. All this for MIDgrade DONUTS, if Willis is on the way go to Donuts Delight #3 (fresher, nicer, and more personable)

If you enjoy being screamed at in front of strangers after being double charged by the workers all at 8AM come here! We were regulars, not cons or thieves. We simply explained how we were double charged on two separate cards because they don't know how to use the machines!

Honestly, it’s really sad to see what this place has become. Obviously, I don’t remember the service as a kid whose dad only used the drive thru, but I couldn’t imagine it being as horrid as it is today for my dad to keep going back. I tried going a few months ago and the lady immediately yelled, “what do you want.” We asked for a second and she mumbled with attitude in her native language. We get to paying and my card declined, so I check my balance. My card was frozen. We later learned it was due to an out of area charge. I tried asking for my card back, she refused, and continuously kept trying to charge me. Keep in mind the food was behind the counter it’s not like we could run off with it. After the sixth try and me anxiously pleading with her, my husband snapped at her to give the card back because we were no longer customers and she started to complain in her native language and began arguing at the man who is usually there. She finally gave us my card and we left.
To the owner(s), I hope y'all learned you can’t treat customers like this. We were going to let you charge another card until you refused to give my credit card back several times. A customer shouldn’t have to beg then yell in order to get their card(s) back.

My family and I, and our closest family friends, have been going here for over a decade, they moved but it is still the same great people with the same great products. Their kolaches are actually the best kolaches I have ever had, I actually went to another place that sold kolaches, and was disappointed in what the other shop sold because sunrise donuts spoiled me in how good they should be.
