My husband and I elected to do a small cake just for us to cut, but had a hard time finding a bakery that could help us out without us having to be present (dual military from Texas, currently living in Alaska, planned a wedding in Texas) Vernele's was incredibly responsive, answered all our questions, and delivered on time! AND their white chocolate cake was SO good!

I ordered a wedding cake through Vernele's for my wedding this past week. There was a mishap with the order form, and my order never ended up getting properly filed due to a disgruntled past employee. Things happen, and I understand that. What made the difference was Shelby went out of her way and made sure that we got a cake in a very short amount of time (about 10 minutes). The cake itself was delicious. I still wish that I could've gotten to try the apple pie flavor, but there's always other celebrations. The cakes here are great so definitely give them a shot! I would give 5 stars but the unfortunate circumstance led to the 4 star.

Is this still here?Went to find it, didnt seem to be where the address was....?Why would I try and call if the place looked closed? Nice attitude BTW, why not say your sorry for the inconvenience. You cant even update the online presence so people wont waste their time. Sounds like you have an attitude problem. Good luck with the bakery

My girlfriend ordered a cake from here, it looks nothing like the picture we showed. Looks quickly put together and very sloppy. Not worth the money. And everybody’s cake seems to be dry

I just got my order for several items, one was a Buttermilk chess pie & sand tart cookies! No other bakery in town even knew what the 2 items were! The owner not only knew what they were....but they were JUST like back in Tennessee!Thank you!Partain

Delicious and beautiful custom cake with hands down customer service. I had a custom cake request with just 3 days notice. I was very anxious and was not sure if I can get the cake I wanted within that time frame. They were quick to respond, answered all my questions and were generous enough to take the order on such small notice. The cake was EXACTLY what I ordered. It was indeed a very nice experience working with them.

My husband and I used Vernele's Bakery for our wedding day and had such a wonderful experience! For starters, we had the opportunity to do a cake tasting which was delicious and memorable. As coffee fanatics, my husband and I fell in love with Vernele's espresso cake covered in dulce de leche icing with extra espresso. 10/10! Not to mention, this bakery was prompt and professional on our wedding day. Highly recommend!

I got a Po boy! The fried shrimp is good by itself. The bread was huge! I was shocked. The service was not the best. The gal made some reccomendations,She needs to know the menu better. The chef brought me my food. I told him thank you an got no response... an the gal at the front never asked me how my meal was. I like the New Orleans look the resturant has. Thats what drew me in. Hopefully the Owners Will train the employees more to do better customer service. This was my first time trying this resturant out. I expected some decent customer service an the service was not that good.
I ordered a gluten free 40 plus persons birthday cake with chocolate and vanilla and buttercream icing . This cake was supposed to have cheetah/Leppard print design with multiple coloring added. On top of this cake not looking at all like I'd hoped, it was very dry. Almost like it was missing an ingredient. My issue here is that I paid for a cake I did not get. The cake had ugly brown polka dots and 2 fake purple flowers at the top.I spent over $120.00 . We were all hugely disappointed in presentation as well as flavor. I ordered this cake 3 weeks ago. This cake was poorly slapped together and I feel ripped off.

A unique gym of a restaurant for the city of Conroe! The smoked chicken salad was the bomb and the people running the show were awesome. Keep up the great work.

Best thing: New Orleans jazz on a good music system and fast friendly service from the charming counter. Lots of great decor in this old place that could be in the French Quarter. Food.....meh. Bagel did not seem fresh, and only a very scant, hard slice of Plain cream cheese accompanied it.

We chose Vernele's New Orleans Bakery and Cafe to make our wedding cake, and they did not disappoint. Shelby made and delivered an amazing cake, 4 tiers with different flavors. It was divine and looked exactly as we'd hoped it would. On top of that, she did an amazing job placing the flowers on the cake. We were so pleased with how it turned out. We also love that we will get a fresh small tier on our first anniversary. We look forward to our next opportunity to devour the delicious cake by Shelby and Vernele's.

Just left and service was awful. Never greeted, or even acknowledged at all. They would look at us and walk right by. When we did order cupcakes were awful dry dry dry …. Took one bite and we threw it away, same with the brownie it tasted like it was a few days old. Hopefully the cookies we bought are better! Headed to Pizza Shack best cupcakes around!
