Sadly 2 of my adult family members that were with me tonight tried to tell me this place had gone downhill. I didn't believe them.... Now I do. The food was all very underwhelming. This included fried shrimp (WAY over cooked, breading was soo hard it cut the roof of my mouth), rice pilaf, cream gravy (runny and tasted like flour), and mashed potatoes ( so disgusting, couldn't even eat them). The southwest egg rolls with ranch, and grilled chicken sandwich were ok and so we're the hush puppies (which is the reason I have always loved to go there), BUT not good enough to get me to make the drive to eat there again! Which is sad, after 25+yrs, I won't be going back. The service was ok. I was glad it was loud so my grandson could be silly and not have to be quite after a long evening. He had a cheeseburger and ate it all, but wouldn't touch the Mac n cheese.

A very nice country restaurant. Basic atmosphere but yet nice. I had the grilled catfish and it was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend this and I would.oeder this again.and again. The portions are quite large as well. The service was attentive and we never lacked for anything. Would visit again.

We don't eat here often, usually when we have guests from out of state, but it's always such a hit. Our and guests' faves are the CFS, friend catfish, okra, fried green tomatoes, and the hush puppies with chow chow are a yummy novelty to our friends and family. The service is always super friendly and top-notch.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggies in sides menu and I believe a veggie platter.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible. When full, may be a wee bit tight navigating between tables, but not terrible

The food overall is great. To start, we got complimentary hush puppies and pickled tomatoes. For an appetizer, we got onion rings, and they were good. the batter was more on the soft side rather than a crunchy onion ring. For the main meal, I got the combination plate with fried fish and stuffed crab. The fish is a good size, and they load your plate with yummy fries! The crab was pretty good kinda on the smaller side, though. But overall, I recommend this restaurant.

My first time there. Our waitress was awesome! The food was so good. Everything we had was good. We got chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. The mashed potatoes weren't instant and delicious. The chicken had great flavor and cooked perfectly! We also had the catfish and coleslaw. Both were amazing. Huge plates. The pricing was great for the amount of food and of course the taste! I highly recommend this place!

We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, but it did not meet expectations. The restaurant is cozy and our waitress was amazing, but the shrimp was not deveined and tasted FISHY. Really hoping we don’t get sick :/ wouldn’t recommend from the food alone.
