Update: Continue to enjoy wonderful meals at Vernon's and the wait staff have always been friendly and efficient. We dine here weekly due to quality of food, service and price. Price has increased to $15 for lunch.

The food and service was pretty good. Would be a 5 star review, but this place is honestly kind of a rip-off. They act like a friendly country cafe, but charge you steakhouse prices. I got 6 grilled shrimp a la carte and they still charged me the full $25 like I ordered the platter. Guess I should have just gotten the sides and let them throw them away since wasting food seems more important than fair pricing. The shrimp were good, but not worth over $4 a piece.
This place is great. Cozy vibe, great food with good portions, and supor friendly staff. If you are thinking of going here, stop and get in your car. It is 100% worth it.
