Sadly 2 of my adult family members that were with me tonight tried to tell me this place had gone downhill. I didn't believe them.... Now I do. The food was all very underwhelming. This included fried shrimp (WAY over cooked, breading was soo hard it cut the roof of my mouth), rice pilaf, cream gravy (runny and tasted like flour), and mashed potatoes ( so disgusting, couldn't even eat them). The southwest egg rolls with ranch, and grilled chicken sandwich were ok and...
A very nice country restaurant. Basic atmosphere but yet nice. I had the grilled catfish and it was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend this and I would.oeder this again.and again. The portions are quite large as well. The service was attentive and we never lacked for anything. Would visit again.
We don't eat here often, usually when we have guests from out of state, but it's always such a hit. Our and guests' faves are the CFS, friend catfish, okra, fried green tomatoes, and the hush puppies with chow chow are a yummy novelty to our friends and family. The service is always super friendly and top-notch.
