I used to come to this place every morning for breakfast. They’re pretty friendly, but the food is horrible quality.I orders the picadillo taco which is always full of grease And even when you ask For them to drain it they don’t understand English so they’ll say they’re doing something and they don’t. This morning I Got tacos and got home and I had something in my food. Not sure what it is, but we’ll be back over there to get a refund.

I ordered the Barbacoa Special and the food was entirely too salty and greasy. Not appetizing at all. The onions were old and the cilantro was wilted and mostly stems. Never ordering from here again. Quality was absolute garbage. Everything just looked and tasted like it was days old. No freshness whatsoever. Do not eat here.

Just left I ordered shrimp tacos… my shrimp was cold and watery. I only got two flour tortillas after I asked for tacos. The guy at the window screamed “ what” when I asked him a question @ very rude” I won’t be going back at all. $13 for watery shrimp and hard rice. I asked for cilantro instead I got lettuce and tomatoes.

Burnt bacon in a bacon and egg taco is offensive. You've got to know that's the main ingredient so why give a paying customer something so burnt it was black? And then give the dried out chicken fajita. Felt like it was day old. It seems recurring so it isn't being fixed so no need to go back.

I've been a loyal customer of Mike's for breakfast tacos, but unfortunately, their quality and service has significantly declined. Recent visits have been marred by inconsistent food preparation, wrong orders, and lackluster customer service. Specifically, the women working the register consistently get orders wrong and lack urgency. Phone orders are frequently put on hold without follow-up, and drive-thru wait times are excessively long.

We have ordered from here once before and the food was great then. This time the ladies had terrible customer service and the pastor mini tacos were very dry along with the quesadilla. Last time I asked if the menudo came in a smaller size other than 32oz and the gentleman said yes. This time I asked for smaller size and the ladies said it was not possible.

When I find a place that I like, I usually tell myself, "This is a do-over." Mike's Taco House is one of those places. I really like their breakfast tacos. They will make them how you want them. I like to add potatoes and cheese to the chorizo and egg tacos; they really pack them full. The service has always been friendly. I would recommend this place if you're in the area. As for the atmosphere, I think it's too small of a location for their operation. It's not really inviting for dine-in customers. Good news, they have a drive-up window, so don't let that distract you from checking them out.

I'm a little behind in the times so today was my first ever grubhub order, I'm also still newer to Texas as I moved here a couple years back from Cali. There are still so many places we haven't tried. Today based on reviews we decided to order food from Mike's Taco House. We ordered a few items to try including nachos, chips with queso, chicken fajita taco, asada taco and a couple crispy tacos. The order arrived quickly and was packaged neatly. The GrubHub portion of this order was great!
The problem we had was the actual food itself so no fault of grubhubs at all. My husband had the nachos and said they were ok and I had tried the chicken taco and was going to try the asada taco next.
I pulled the foil wrapped item from the bag and placed it on my plate and when I opened the foil to grab a piece of steak to try I saw something odd?? So I grabbed it and inspected it only to discover it was a couple pieces of cooked Roly Poly bugs!
Unfortunately my husband had already finished the nachos because obviously we were done earing at that point.
I did call the restaurant in the hopes they could help remedy the situation but at the very least inform them so they could keep an eye out in the kitchen. As gross as it was I understand that there are bugs in TX and things happen.
I think what was more frustrating than finding a bug in my food was the reaction of the restaurant. I can understand wanting to be in denial but he acted as if I was lying and it couldn't have happened. Even saying "no, for real? Nah that didn't happen, it must have been something else." I explained that I did know what a Roly poly looks like and that I'd also taken pictures and zoomed in to be sure of what I was seeing. As much as I'm sure he didn't want to hear that we didn't want to have lived that and my husband has been grossed out ever since. Had I called and they had been more apologetic or even offered something other than suspicion that I was making it up, I wouldn't have left a review. Especially considering we didn't even eat 75% or more of the food.
