I have been fortunate to have bbq from places that are revered as “the best” by many metrics and while totally subjective, I would put mookies up against anything out there. It’s undoubtedly the best bbq I have ever had and I try my best to only visit once a week because I’ll tell you, I could it everyday they are open. This place is actually a hidden gem. We accidentally found it and will definitely be back. Also the people there and the owner himself treated everyone like family. I was very impressed.
Stopped in for lunch yesterday. If I have had better BBQ, I cant remember it. Just amazing. If this place was close to where I lived, I'd probably end up hospitalized from over consumption of Mookies BBQ.
