Great spot with good food, generous portions, and solid service. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the portions were more than enough for the price. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

We went here for the first time thinking the food must be amazing since every time we have passed by this place in the last year it is always packed. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The place is clean and it was easy to find a place to sit (seat yourself.) I am 50 years old and me, my wife, and one of my adult children were the youngest people in there as customers. The entire interior looked like something they all enjoyed 40 years ago, and it felt strangely familiar to me from when I was a small child. I fully expected ash trays at the tables but, alas, there were none. But, that doesn’t always pose as an indicator for food quality.
I believe where we went wrong with the food is by not ordering what they are known for-breakfast.
I ordered the 10oz ribeye with mushrooms, green beans, corn, and mash potatoes. The steak tasted like it had been frozen, tasted as if it had been reheated by boiling, absent of any flavor, and the texture was something other than steak. Canned meat, maybe? All vegetables were obviously from a can and bland, and the gravy tasted old. The best features of my dish was the salt and pepper on the table, my sweet tea, and the copious amounts of A1 steak sauce provided.
My wife ordered the all-you-can-eat fried catfish with hush puppies, corn, okra, and collard greens with bacon. She states the fish was fairly decent as it was crispy and had a decent flavor. The hush puppies were good and had jalapeños in them. The okra was fried and really good. The corn was ok and collard greens were good.
My adult child had the enchilada plate that was supposed to come with Pico de Gallo and chips and salsa. What was presented was a dry, partially flipped over corn tortilla taco (2 of them) filled with ground beef. No enchilada sauce in the zip code. There was melted cheese on top. The “Pico” was diced tomatoes with shredded lettuce. That’s it. 100% of what was on the plate. Side packet of sour cream. The chips and salsa are store bought and very basic, unsalted chips and watery salsa.
I cannot speak for the breakfast because I have never had it. If you go there, maybe give that a shot. I will not be going back.

It maybe older and doesn't have the outside appealing look, but its down home country, the waitresses work hard and hustle each in their area. Always hot coffee, big portions, and friendly places. ADA accessible and a meeting room, sometimes live music. Masons, quarterback clubs, eastern star, bass boaters and more use this place. Many meals at 10 dollars with huge portions, catfish, chicken fried steak, and morning dishes always great.

We were riding motorcycle and it started raining so we stopped in here. They saw us and brought us towels so we could dry ourselves off! Asked what we wanted to drink and had coffee to us before we were dried off and seated! Ordered SOS and it was amazing! What awesome service is that!!!! And great food to top it off!

The catfish meal was ok. But the chicken fried steak was not good at all. Unable to even cut it up to eat it and it was overcooked. The sides of green beans and fried zucchini had no flavor and were mushy.

We've been going there for years. The food has always been good. Occasionally you might get something that's not quite right but they'll fix it. The service is always excellent. Now if they're real busy, you're going to have to wait a bit. Atmosphere. Definitely friendly
