Service was great, sandwich was amazing, and it was just an overall nice experience!!! Definitely coming back for more. ✨
The service has gone down for sure, it seems like it all went bad in like a week. I don’t know what happened but the food quality, the service and the atmosphere kind of sucks. I used to really like this place and feel so sad to see it how it is now. I don’t recognize anyone there and that makes it hard to keep going back.
The food wasn’t bad but recently the quality has gone down and there seems to be a lot of mix ups with orders.
I also like seeing familiar faces but they keep changing the staff I feel like. I used to like and recommend the meltdown but I don’t think I’ll be going there anymore.
We went for the first time today so it’s been open for a while and all in all the 3 sandwiches with a bottle of water and one soda for the price of $42.91 was ok. The sandwiches did not come with chips or any side possibility, you could purchase a small bag of chips but in no sandwich place I ever went they changed for a bag of chips. The cashier was friendly but new and when we said it was our first time her answer was we get a lot of first timers, so my response was you don’t get any repeat costumes, she responded not really. 🤷♀️ so I asked what was her favorite and she said she didn’t eat anything there, every owner of a restaurant should give a taste of there food to the people that work there so they can tell the customers how the food is. So needless to say that we will not be going back soon , maybe in a few months to see if something changed. I am sad but there are other places to go eat and support in Cove. Hopefully they change a little bit. The atmosphere even if empty except a couple of (uber eats/ door dash people) was nice, clean and simple deco.
The staff were courteous, the food was okay. The wait time was as absurd. When we arrived there was one couple waiting on a to go order, otherwise no other customers. We ordered 5 melts, one bowl of soup, and a quesadilla. One sandwich came out approximately fifteen minutes later, the next ten minutes later…repeat. I think it took almost an hour by the time we got the last plate. Not sure why, as there were at least three employees working. The tea dispenser was dispensing water (a known issue, but no sign) and the toilet was filthy. Great concept, poor delivery.
Great staff and food
It's a good spot. Also, try the Cream pies and Fries , they're ruined by the same. Both have really good food.
my son loves grilled cheese so we brought him here. I had the Apple butter bacon meltdown. *chefs kiss* delicious. Dont forget to get a complimentary pickle.
Delicious! Very clean as well and a very welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
First time customer, greeted with a friendly front end service help, and heard a "Welcome" from an older gentleman in the back. having already looked at the menu on line we asked for the Tomato Basil soup, Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork (Sourdough And Cheddar Cheese) and Northern Exposure (Swiss/Pepper Jack, Jalapeño, Bacon, BlackBerry Jam). As I waited for the order to be made, I was approached by the older gentleman that had welcomed me early, he was the owner, and I believe the sole person making food. Friendly, helpful and nice…..can’t say anything more. The soup was wonderful, the sandwiches awesome. I enjoy cooking, my wife enjoys cooking, one of my sons is a chef, I worked as a waiter in my youth…I’m a horrible restaurant customer because I judge the cleanliness of the area, the service, the food, and the presentation like I expect from myself or my son and wife. This small owner-operated restaurant hit the marks on all.

2 of us came in for lunch. I had never been there. The woman I was with had been there before, and liked it. One other customer in the store. We ordered drinks, soup, sandwich, chips, and cookie. Our food was brought to us in a reasonable amount of time. But the girl who brought it failed to bring the chips, and cookie. Still only one other person in the restaurant. I had to go get it from the counter. The all in one heater/air unit showed the temp on 74, but at almost 100 degrees, the back door was open, and it was hot in there. Maybe the door was open to let the smoke out, from my burnt sandwich. Never asked if everything was alright. Pictures show what I couldn’t eat. Unfortunately for them, this isn’t acceptable, and should never have been served. My first visit was my last visit, and I don’t recommend anything at Texas Meltdown.

To the owner, about your response. Why can’t you own exactly what I proved. You’re making excuses for everything. Why should I have to complain, when anyone with eyes, and common sense can see a burnt sandwich…that’s to include the yahoo who made it, who had to smell it starting to burn, and the woman who served it saw it burnt, but she couldn’t even get the entire order to the table…it became a self serve. The back door being open for delivery…the delivery man can knock. It’s about the customers, not the delivery person. With your reasoning, WTH, turn the ac off, and open the doors. Like I said, I won’t be back, and all the free food in the world won’t entice me!

Workers need to work on attitude and approach. Cashier/ server basically dropped our food in front of us. He knew who ordered what and still dropped orders in front of wrong people.
Buffalo Chicken Ranch although moist, had 0 flavor. Couldn't see any sauce on it. Normally dripping with sauce.
Pulled Pork sandwich was on point! (Recommend this).
Owner might want to check air system, really smoky in there, no fans running.
I'll eat here again.
I believe this is an isolated issue. Normally excellent all around. Not this time.

Went there for the first time this evening, ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and some soup. The sandwich was burnt on one side flipped over on the foil covered tray to conceal the poor cooking skills. The cook came out and asked if the food was good my response was it was ~.
For a fairly new establishment I was very surprised at the lack of well cooked food, I mean its kinda hard to mess up a grilled cheese sandwich, but the cook of an admitted year of working there messed it up pretty good!
Do yourself a favor customers go home and just make your own grilled cheese sandwich it will be cooked properly and you can pocket the money you would have spent at this place.
