I was in Corrigan, TX for business. My colleague and I stopped for a quick lunch. The food was exceptional, very down home cooking that took me back many years. The vegetable soup reminded me of my youth. The service was excellent and the family atmosphere provided a soothing feel. Family run business doing Corrigan right.

Wonderful home-cooked food. We were traveling from North Central Arkansas to Houston and came upon this little restaurant about lunch time. They had a buffet with so many goodies I couldn't decide. I ended up with the hamburger steak mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. It was a wonderful change from the fast food we're used to eating on our trips.

Absolute best small-town diner I've ever been to. It's a must to visit if you are in the area or passing through around breakfast/ brunch time.
Best food and people anywhere!
Wonderful home cooked meals. I had the fried pork loin, mashed potatoes, and Brussel sprouts. It tasted just like what momma used to make. We will be back.
It was our first time there and the food was absolutely wonderful. I loved the environment. We will be back ?

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food inside is delicious!!! Solid, home cooking. We tried the chicken strips, black eyed peas, dumplins, mashed potatoes, white gravy, green beans, and corn bread. All tasted good, but the cabbage and pintos were amazing! They also served smothered steak and fried pork loin strips that looked enticing, among Mac n Cheese, turnip greens, sweet potatoes and carrots.Staff was very friendly. Meals are served on styrofoam. Atmosphere is very simple (booths, and 6’ tables butted up together to make rows.) and clean. We will stop here again.

Great family owned business. Homestyle food and cafeteria style, pick what looks and sounds good! Pork fried and chicken fried steaks are the best! You feel like you're in grandma's kitchen!
Kid-friendliness: Very friendly family and service driven!

My husband and I love the down home southern style cooking at Johnson’s. It’s simply a no-brainer if we’re in the area at lunch time, you can bet we will be there. The steam table is always fresh, usually with the same options for choice of meat with the occasional specialty dish thrown in a few times throughout the week. I’ve never had anything bad… seriously, from the chicken spaghetti to the meatloaf, to the chicken strips - it’s all delicious. The staff are very hospitable and friendly and treat you like family. I highly recommend!
