It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food inside is delicious!!! Solid, home cooking. We tried the chicken strips, black eyed peas, dumplins, mashed potatoes, white gravy, green beans, and corn bread. All tasted good, but the cabbage and pintos were amazing! They also served smothered steak and fried pork loin strips that looked enticing, among Mac n Cheese, turnip greens, sweet potatoes and carrots.Staff was very friendly. Meals are served on styrofoam. Great family owned business. Homestyle food and cafeteria style, pick what looks and sounds good! Pork fried and chicken fried steaks are the best! You feel like you're in grandma's kitchen!

My husband and I love the down home southern style cooking at Johnson’s. It’s simply a no-brainer if we’re in the area at lunch time, you can bet we will be there. The steam table is always fresh, usually with the same options for choice of meat with the occasional specialty dish thrown in a few times throughout the week.
