Wonderful home-cooked food. We were traveling from North Central Arkansas to Houston and came upon this little restaurant about lunch time. They had a buffet with so many goodies I couldn't decide. I ended up with the hamburger steak mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. It was a wonderful change from the fast food we're used to eating on our trips.
It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food inside is delicious!!! Solid, home cooking. We tried the chicken strips, black eyed peas, dumplins, mashed potatoes, white gravy, green beans, and corn bread. All tasted good, but the cabbage and pintos were amazing! They also served smothered steak and fried pork loin strips that looked enticing, among Mac n Cheese, turnip greens, sweet potatoes and carrots.Staff was very friendly. Meals are served on styrofoam. Great family owned business. Homestyle food and cafeteria style, pick what looks and sounds good! Pork fried and chicken fried steaks are the best! You feel like you're in grandma's kitchen!
