It's an interesting place! Basic menu did not allow substitutions but the food was good and hot when served. Also they only have American cheese which was disappointing as I try not to eat it. Love the lodge feel, very casual place. Lots of animal trophys on the wall. Good, basic, hot and fresh food. I will go again.

A great small town experience. The restaurant is on the corner of the town square. Very popular with a robust lunch business on the day that I visited. The BLT was very good.

Old general store converted into Americana themed restaurant. I had the BLT with fries. The BLT was definetly made fresh and hit the spot. The fries were kinda dry. Others had the BBQ sandwich and the grilled cheese and were satisfied with their food. We also had the warm apple pie with ice cream and the Lemon Merengue pie. Delicious of course.

Great atmosphere with lots of Crockett history. Food was ok. They were out if some things which ibwas disappointed but was ok. Got a cheese burger and wife had steak fingers. She enjoyed them and you coukd tell they were fresh and they battered them. Burger was ok, fries i had has some that were even cooked and were still raw. If we get back that way we will try them again

The place is awesome, we loved the artwork and decorating. Very nice place... And right on the square in town. We had the special, it was chicken and dressing with sides, but without the chicken... The dressing and chicken was suppose to be like a casserole but seriously the luck of getting meat was not with any of us...

What is the reason for charging 0.50 cents for city water? Is there a charge to wash my hands…perhaps flush the toilet? Is this flipping California?
I really Want to live this place. It is on the square in Crockett. It is strictly hometown. The waiters are all full grown, polite, and there is a resale shop in the rear which I love 💘 My only problem is the total lack of seasoning in everything across the board The fries are frozen, but for the price, that is what is to be expected. I ordered the chicken fried steak and the meat was real round steak, not a frozen soy patty But, the meat had zero seasoning. No salt or pepper, let alone onion, garlic... The breading was the same thing. No seasoning at all. And the gravy was straight out of a pkg with nothing added to spice it up a bit. I hope that the owners will start putting some effort into the food instead of just relying on nostalgia

We live around 80 miles away so we don’t get to go here as often as we’d like. Normally, we go on Saturday and we order the special… fried catfish. It is out of this world delicious!! The service is outstanding and the coffee is great too. Though the name is “Moosehead”, there are more deer and some antelope heads on the walls… there’s even a bighorn sheep. At the back are assorted gifts and such. A person can’t go wrong by stopping here!

Xomw early foe breakfast or you won't get biscuits or sausage. Recommend 930 latest because we showed up at 10 and they close breakfast at 1030 but said they wouldn't serve us what we wanted on 2 occasions.
