No flavor. The grits were just plain grits cooked in water, nothing else. The oatmeal was the same. Not edible. Eggs, bacon, and ham were cooked to order. Step up yalls game!

My first time coming here and Kathy was so helpful at helping me decide what was good and was very nice.Big chicken fried steak comes with salad bar and 2 sides, best bring your appetite! The other pic is grilled steak burger and it too came with the same setup!

This is our go to breakfast place! Waitresses are very sweet and work really hard. I haven't tried their lunch/dinner in over a year, but was good as well. They REALLY took care of us yesterday during a little extra activity going on outside the restaurant. Thanks again!

Absolutely epic service and experience. The buffet was a great collection of classic southern dinner and my wife loved the variety on the salad bar. More than pleased with this diner and we will be back for the delightful food and hometown hospitality.

The food wasn’t very good, and prices were very high. One biscuit with gravy is $2.50, one pancake is $4.00, a single fried egg is $4.00. I can do bad food for cheap or expensive good food, but this was expensive 1-2 star food, so no reason to go back. Oh and the kitchen didn’t have butter for my pancakes, just the “buttery spread” that’s vegetable oil and water. What kind of restaurant kitchen doesn’t have butter?!

Tried it today while visiting the Houston county courthouse since it’s pretty close from the courthouse. I’m not coming back, the flavors are really good but the fried meat are too oily for me. There are only 3 meat option pork chop, fried chicken and chicken fried steak, then sides are from the can or box, and salad bar . Paid $16+ dollars that’s including drink, they don’t even have desert bar.Service is great.

The good that's cooked fresh is excellent but they use some canned and instant veggies. The "tea" is sugar water with a hint of tea. The lady that does the serving is super sweet and works hard.

The staff is great! It's regular Southern Diner food. Everyone at our table loved their food.
I was one of 3 older ladies returning from a high school reunion in Southeast Texas traveling back to the Dallas area. We got a late start and postponed breakfast, but time passed, and it was nearing the noon hour. We checked on-line and found this little gem of a country restaurant. We called ahead and found that they served breakfasts all day. We took a hop over from 287 and were so glad we did. The breakfast was wonderful! The ambiance was very "down home" but all that mattered to us was the food. We all got the Big Country Breakfast and ate every bite! We had a sweet little waitress named Cheyenne who joined us (in between serving other guests) for a discussion full of laughs. Service was GREAT! Just before leaving we noticed the home-made pies in a glass case. We all decided to get a take-out slice of the coconut cream for later. We all ate a bite before leaving and it was oh so yummy! Just like my Mamma used to make. We will definitely be returning if ever we are passing that way again. ALL GOOD!

Food not kept at safe temperatures. Cook is rude. Food looked old and gross. Tea is just sugar water. Dirty and unsanitary

They have great breakfast food! Have eaten there twice now. We live about 2 1/2 hours away, so this is our new breakfast place when traveling through. The outside appearance isn't great, but it has the old Cafe appeal. I heard their chicken fried steak is also great. Will have to catch it at lunch when I can.

We eat here alot but lately its not good. Several times the buffet is out of food. Today they were out of corn bread and chicken fried steak. Can't charge people for a buffet when their is no food that is suppose to be there. Need to get on this and improve to keep getting my business .
Friendly folks..great chicken
