The sweet lady running the place was a darling. But she forgot to put my potatoes in my take out bag. Bone in chicken was damn good, seasoned well. The fried okra could have cooked a little longer to be crisp but was still good. Very cute little place, little hard to find due to lack of big signs but worth it. Will go back if I'm back in Crockett

We took our meal to go. The place was very clean. Real nice old country feeling was the atmosphere. I do hope they get some background music though. Meeting the McNutt’s (owners) was just as awesome as the food!

The people were so lovely, the food portions will make you wish someone would just carry you home because the flavor is so darn good you can’t help but clean your plate!!!
This place needs to be on the map for sure!!! It’s the best country cooking I have ever had!
It’s all made in house all the way down to the gravy or tartar sauce!
Please go show them some love, you won’t regret it! Well maybe getting the extra helpings but only for a few hours! lol

Took the family out to TJ McChicken in Crockett, a little hole-in-the-wall family owned restaurant. Goot Lawd! The food is AMAZING! I had the catfish with hushpuppies and fried okra. Folks, ordinarily I'm not a fan of catfish, but everyonce in a while I'll order it from somewhere just to remind myself that I hate it, but THIS place made me a true believer. I was full about ten minutes before I stopped eating and my lungs were jealous of the space being taken up by my stomach. If y'all are looking for some good, down-home southern feel-good food, you GOTTA try this place out. The lady doing the cooking was friendly, talkative and was so very kind to my daughters. We will DEFINITELY be going back (if not doing our best to get them to adopt us), lol. Best dang restaurant in Crockett....no, scratch that, Houston County if not Texas.

Everything was great and they do not skip on any of the side dishes and friendly atmosphere when you walk in the door.
Pricey!!!! Got a one piece chicken with one side and a biscuit just shy of $10. Food was good but of all the food groups chickens is the cheapest at the store I can't see where it cost that much, and still turn a profit. I might be willing to pay that much for a two-piece meal. Was looking at the menu while waiting and everything seems to be a little high in my opinion and again just my opinion wish them luck!
