Food is absolutely terrible and service is so slow!!!
I got a salad and red beans and rice salad was fresh red beans n rice were great my boyfriend got a burger and he wasn't impressed but good spot to check out

Wow. I had to take the time to review what just happened to me. I literally had the worst restaurant experience and witnessed the biggest display of incompetence I have ever seen in my life. I placed a to go order over the phone and everything was fine. I drive to pick up my food, it’s pouring raining, so I go through the drive through. A car is in front of me. As I’m sitting in the car waiting, I receive a call from the restaurant telling me they no longer have what I ordered. Mind you, 30 minutes has passed since I ordered. Took me 20 minutes to get there and I spent 10 minutes in line. No one had the courtesy to call before? I’m livid. It’s storming and I have to find another option to eat. This is insane.

Paid almost $60 for the seafood trio and could not even eat it. There was no seasoning on ANY of the food and the shrimp were overcooked to the point they would even peel. They were decent at the beginning of crawfish season but I wouldn't even be willing to try again
It feels like the owner and Management have checked out.
Even the generic responses that are given on all the recent negative reviews shows a lack of effort. Not to mention the inconsistent times they open for business.

The first drink order came out wrong, not a good sign!
Then we did not see our waitress for some time.
Finally we get our food order in... after so much time had passed and we didn't see any of the staff a friend actually had to go in the back to find someone to refill drinks and ask them about our food.
Once the food was served we noticed that the majority of the food was cold.
We waited again to see our waitress and eventually had to speak to a bar tender who could've cared less about the food being cold or our issues with our waitress.
The next time we saw our waitress she brought the 4 couples each of their tickets that were $150+ and she had added gratuity to each ticket, I have no problem with added gratuity for a large table but she had to know that she didn't deserve a gratuity with the kind of service she provided.
John E's has all the potential to be the go to establishment in a small town like Crosby but it's owner management and staff are failing the town of Crosby to say the least and I hope the owner starts over and makes it all right before it's too late.
The service was TERRIBLE! 4 slow waitress with bad attitudes & one is pregnant! The crawfish was ok but literally everything else was BAD! I asked for a manager and he never came an hour later.. this place definitely gets a 2/10!
Never coming here again ..we were the first customers crawfish not seasoned and cold EVEN after we sent it back twice!

Nevaeh was the best! She was so attentive and so kind and sweet! Crawfish were delicious! I can’t wait to come back!

We have loved eating at John E’s since we moved to Crosby, but tonight we waited and hour and a half for our to go order and that is just ridiculous. We tried to call ahead and the phone rang and rang and no one answered. Eventually they just unplugged the phone. So my husband had to go in and order and sat there for an hour and a half waiting on our order. We tried to give them another chance, so we ordered crawfish and it was so salty, chewy and the color of the meat was a dark grey color. There were so many claws in my crawfish as well. I assume we got crawfish at the bottom of the pot that had just been sitting there. Me and my husband couldn’t even finish eating it because of how bad it was. We’re just disappointed and upset because we wasted almost $100 on dinner just for it to be inedible.
Horrible customer service. Waited an hour to be seated, two hours for food. And only saw my waiter 3x out of the entire night
Got the seafood trio ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ! No flavor at all even after adding extra spice . The shrimp wasn’t edible and the crab cluster was like half of 1 cluster with missing legs .. Don’t waste your money
Horrible service. Waited over an hour for our food. Er had to track someone down to get drink refills. Sub par quality food. Will not be back.
After waiting over an hour to get seated, finally did and young lady said it be a few min. Ok, y'all was busy and short staffed, 30 mins later she comes back and says about 15 more minutes,45 mins later she comes to the table and says you ran out of food. Noticed y'all still sent to go orders out, not very happy at all.
