Villa Grande Mexican Restaurant

Diego deserves 100 stars for his service and care in doing his best; he was wonderful with our children. We were a group of 25 Brazilians, and it was my first time at this restaurant. The food was very well served, with delicious meat, rice, and beans. Sorry if we stayed late, but the food and atmosphere are excellent. The churros were also a 10/10.

It’s been 3 years since we’ve been to this restaurant. It was maybe three stars at that point. I think they may have changed ownership. Regardless the food was great. The prices were very reasonable, and I’m surprised there weren’t a lot more people there because it was excellent.

This restaurant is much bigger than it looks on the outside. The food was very good and the service was excellent. One of our party felt he had too many onions in his soup and they immediately prepared him another bowl. Great value for the the food quantity and quality

We always stop by this spot when I’m visiting family in Aubrey — it never disappoints! The food’s always delicious and the service is awesome, ask for Christian. The carne asada and chile poblano is my go-to. Definitely recommend!

Villa grande has been in our regular rotation for local restaurants for nearly 20 years (since back in the days before the storm hit it and it wasn't much more than a shack on the corner of 380). I don't recall ever having a bad experience here in all that time. The food is always excellent and served faster than you expect even when it's busy and the margaritas are top-notch every time. Service is always fantastic as well. You can tell it's a well run place for sure and we will continue to go here whenever we have a craving for Mexican food!

Pleasant experience. The birria tacos were really good, but that green sauce is the devil...so spicy. I like that the rice didn't have chunks of veggies in it. My daiquiri was ok, but will try a margarita next time.

Updating my review because we thought they would be good for a big catering event. We were wrong. My original review is still below.

Their food was still very good. Their service during the event was good. We paid for 50 guests. Due to traffic incident most of our guests showed up after the cocktail hour and appetizers. Except for the cocktail shrimp, NONE of the appetizers were packed up for us to take home and more than 80% of them were left over. They specifically told us that they had enough containers to pack stuff but they used our own personal containers to pack the cocktail shrimp. Absolutely disgraceful.

Good food and a good first impression can be deceiving. I trusted them, and I was wrong to. Dont you make the same mistake

Jessica and Luis were outstanding and the food was excellent in a great upscale'ish atmosphere. Will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.

Only feedback I would provide is to add more sead9ning to the Pastor and ensure it has the key ingredient that makes it Pastor, the Pineapple.

Well went to what I thought was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants today but…
I have ordered food to go prior and was missing food but never let it sway me. Tonight we went in for dinner at 5 ish and sat for a period of time not sure how long but received our chops and salsa then watched as another couple came in and sat down. Their waitress came took their drink order which they received quickly. Waitress then took their food order as we sat with nothing. I looked over early on to see several staff against the wall by bar area but no one came. After seeing the couple get their drinks I noticed a lady looking at me. I looked at her and she came close enough for me to say we haven’t seen our waitress or waiter yet. She went back to kitchen door and was speaking with someone. We waited longer with no one. We then decided to leave.
Very disappointed in a business that would treat customers this way.

The food was great but the tables are very wobbly

We almost went to another place for dinner because of the traffic in the area but, I'm so glad we waited it out. The food is wonderful, our waiter, Miguel was very attentive and patient and the adult beverages were top notch! We had a wonderful time and will definitely return! 😁 Highly recommended.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! Our second time to eat here. First time was great, this time was BETTER! When does that happen?!!! Will definitely be back!!!
