Omgggosh the SWEETEST and most welcoming man! The food is fantastic, we came at the end of the night but our brisket & ribs were still sooo good & tender. The sausage is also so yummy. Cash only, very very fair pricing. Definitely worth the stop!

This is the best BBQ anywhere. He has been making BBQ forever it seems. One of the nicest guys you would want to meet. I am glad he went up to regular prices on his BBQ because he was getting ripped off with prices at least 10 dollars a pound less than anybody else. It is the greatest around if you pass by you will miss out on some of the best BBQ around.

We really love going to Al's Place BBQ. Al is a fixture in this community and you can tell that he has passion for BBQ. It is great quality and very tasty! Be sure to let him know if you want to go light on the BBQ sauce!
9762 US-175, Jacksonville, TX 75766 is the actual address. good bbq. was here a few years ago but came by too late in the day in the winter time to grab a sandwich.
Omg, Uncle Al’s BBQ is finger licking and lip smacking good! I’m a customer for life! 🤤
Ordered 2 chopped beef sandwiches. Got some combination meat, I think it was pork and beef! Way too much sauce. And $6 for sandwich, really?
My preacher once told me that anytime you see smoke we should pull over to make sure you’re not passing up on some good barbecue. I took that advice today as I saw some smoke while driving from Nacogdoches to Dallas in Cuney, Texas. I pulled a U-Turn and pulled into Al’s BBQ. I asked Mr. Al what he recommended and while he said the brisket I could not resist a rib sandwich. While I was packing up my order asked him if he minded me staying and eating in the outdoor seating. He said it was too cold and smoky and invited me into his kitchen to down sit and talk with him. Al has been selling barbecue on the roadside for 35 years. He’s lived a full life at the ripe age of 68 years but also continues to raise two young grandsons. You will be very lucky if Al has made some of his tea-cakes as he offered me one for dessert and it was so very good. Don’t expect a palace as this is roadside barbecue with a dirt floor seating. But if you’re in the mood for something good and in the mood to make a new friend feel free to stop by and spend some time with Al.
